My first successful WILD: incredible clarity!

After my 14-month old son woke me up at his usally ongodly our of 6am on a Sunday morning, I was pretty much a zombie all the way until my wife woke up a few hours later. I decided to try a little WILD at about 10am.

The turorials on here have been very helpful. At first, I was encountering difficulty entering my dream while retaining consiousness, until I tried one of the techniques suggested. I started visualizing my feet walking down the beach shores. I imagined the flip-flopping sound until hypo imagery developed .....clip - clop, clip - clop, clip - clop....

The first images that form are pretty tricky. They faded away about 5 times until I learned how to stay relaxed without scaring them away. Finally, I was able to convince myself that opening my eyes wouldn't mean waking up. This was a HUGE breakthrough. While I was in and out of the dream state, I was able to bring back the lucidity and the imagery.

The details of my LD are very fuzzy as I recall it. I'll attempt trying to bullet my memory:
      - Reality checking - I noticed that everytime I looked up at the same sight, it would change. People would change, places, etc.
      - Flying - I was able to acheive low altitude flying. I still need to work on getting higher with practice
      - Women - I find myself hitting on every woman I see. :
      - Love making - one odd memory is that I was actually observing from 3rd person during one moment
      - Navigation through dream physical world - I can walk through walls, but odly, not glass! I must have broke 10+ windows!

One constant distraction was the constant ambient sounds around my house. Although I was able to re-enter my dream several times with lucidity, I'm pretty sure complete silence would have equaled less randomness. I was able to hear every sound in my real house during dreaming.

My suggestion to newbies trying WILD:
      - don't become too amazed at the hypo imagery. Just relax and let them do their thing.
      - If possible, have complete silence around you

      Dream on!

Its tough to explain in words. I guess I just figured, what the hell...

I was also worried that my talking and yelling in the dream world would be heard by those awake in my house.

I don't know if being tired had anything really to do with it. Actually, I was having some difficulty falling asleep simply because I was trying too hard for WILD.
