      RC's are finally paying off.

So I have been doing random reality checks over a dozen times each day, usually just at random times and always when something strange or exciting happens. My RC is to ask is this a dream and stare at my hands for 10-15 seconds. So anyways last night I had a dream.....i was driving down the hwy with my mom in Denver. The roads are full of snow, alot of snow. Suddenly there was a pile up of about a dozen cars, I managed to not wreck, Then some idiot in front of me backs out and clips my car...i get out and see I am driving some old beatup purple sedan. With damage to the lights. The driver takes off and I am pissed! I see a patch of road with no snow..odd. I take that road to the Police Dept to tell him what happened. The cop was acting strange and didn't want to help. I find this odd so I do a RC, sure enough I have 6 fingers! So I run and jump and fly to the top of a building, its not very vivid and kinda hazy, so i rub my hands together...but that didn't change anything I see a friend and I go to him and say "I am dreaming I am dreaming" he just looks at with an annoyed look..lol. The dream kinda ends there...

next dream was non lucid, but I was writing my lucid dream entry on the wall of my friends basement lol.

Anyways....I just wanted to know why rubbing my hands didn't make things more vivid and clear?...
also when I flew to the top of the building I didnt really feel any wind or anything I thought you were suppose to feel wind in your hair...or not always?...

First off, congrats for that nice lucid! Rubbing your hands together shares a common point with all other stabilization techniques: the point your attention on the dream. The goal of using a stabilization technique is to make you focus on details, and because everything needs your attention in order to exist in a dream, the details suddenly appear. If you rub your hands together, you are putting your attention on how it feels. If that doesn't work the best for you, you can try just to look around you and focus on the details.

      Happy dreams,
      Simon

      Congrats!
When rubbing hands were you concentrating on senses? The main thing about stabilization is concentrating on senses one way or another, so that might have been why it didn't worked, or maybe it just didn't clicked with you just yet. Some stabilization techniques works better for some people than for others so it might worth trying different stabilization technique too.
As for why you didn't felt wind, it might be because of not so high vividness or maybe you were doubting that you'll feel it. Really it varies from person to person what one gets to feel doing particular task because we all have different expectations.
And haha, writing dream entry on the wall, that made my day.
