      Starting ADA: Any tips?

I've given up on WILD because I can't even get any form of hypnagogia never mind actually getting lucid and I've yet to have a lucid dream so I'm moving onto DILD and I'm planning to use All Day Awareness to get one. I've read KingYoshi's DILD tutorial but that's all I've read of ADA really. Does anybody have any tips?
Also, I know this isn't the dream recall forum but can anybody help with my pathetic dream recall? I don't think you could find a worse rate of recall on DV

Hey man, I know it's frustrating trying to deal with no results from WILD attempts, but have you checked out Sageous's excellent tutorial on WILD?

It's really good, I can't link it directly because I've only been a member of DV for 2 days but if you go into the WILD forums it's there.

      Best of luck.

I think I have been over that tutorial but it's not the method that's the issue I don't think, it's when I practice it. Because I think when I settle down to WILD I get jumpy and then I'm stuck altogether so I suppose if I stuck at it I'd calm down and get down to some decent WILD attempts but in the meantime there's no harm in trying both DILD and WILD at the same time

Well sageous isn't really a tech, but a bunch of helpful advice for LDing. It is a great read.

Good luck on ADA. It is difficult, but lots of people have posted good results from it. If you are just looking for a really reliable technique then check this out:

Naiya has gotten to a place before that she was lucid in every single dream in the night. She is now at like 2-3 a night since life has gotten a little more hectic for her. That tech is simple and it is a variation of what i use. This can help as well:

This is the place to go. Master this and it is the most reliable method possible. Naiya is the god of lucid dreaming. Back in my prime of lucid dreaming before I stopped for a few years I sent her a PM asking about what she meant exactly by awareness and what her MILD was like. This was the response I got

      Awareness Meditation

I do a MILD before bed every night, yes. I WBTB several times a night naturally, and so when I go back to bed I try the MILD again, or if I feel like it I try a WILD. Usually I reserve WILDs for when I don't have to wake up in the morning, because I don't like to lose sleep.

And three things you can do daily/weekly: Keep RCing throughout the day. Try your hand at MILD (cause I use a visualization type of MILD and it works great). If you're interested in awareness do some research on meditation and do a short meditation at least once a week to work on awareness.

      Hope that helps.
Also, personally I would HIGHLY recommend doing MILD every night before going to bed and not stopping. You will only get better at it over time. WILD is by far the hardest and most discouraging method to start with.

      Working on: Daily awareness.
Lucid Task: Reverse the flow of a waterfall and ride up it.

Thanks for all the help, I started doing Naiya's MILD visualisation method last night and I'm gonna stick at it Also been practicing a mixture of ADA and reality checks when I remember for the past two days, wrote 'ADA' on my hand to remind myself

      Thinking(audio/visual): daydream
      Clear mind: aware

put your awareness on your eyelids and secondary awareness on hearing, or any other sense.

Good luck and it's easier than it sounds, I changed on a day but I sometimes daydream although, I snap out.

Also I don't keep awareness in my room because then I get bored but I also don't think because I would get depressed; I either play videogames(aware) or lay back in music. I also like to cook and I keep awareness the whole time but I'm doing many things at once so I don't have time to think.

Read my other post about how I used to daydream. Being aware will make you more rational, activate your calculating mind & personally me it distances me from my feelings making me more apathetic than ever.
