Exclamation My lucid dreams are not even bit vivid?

I dont fell air ,nothing, flying is like moving in midair but i do not fell air nothing not even my hands or legs moving . It is like playing a game you can do anything but you do not feel it . It is boring it is lucid dreaming but i can get same by imagining it in my head avake. Ok , I can fell things little bit but it is numb and when it starts to be intense im starting to awake (yea sometimes it works to turn arround or look at my hands) . Im trying the lucid dreaming every night since 1.7.2013 first lucid dream i had 26.7.2013 and second this night 27.7.2013 Both with this same problem boring not vivid and sometimes even in 3rd person .

Ok, first of all I think first few lucid dreams tend to be not as good as later ones for most lucid dreamers, so don't give up! Second, I think looking at dream stabilization and clarity may benefit you, here is a link regarding that http://www.dreamviews.com/wiki/Dream...arity-Tutorial. It also would not hurt to increase awareness in waking life to inputs from all senses, and thinking stuff like "I can now feel the breeze brushing against my skin. Next time I am dreaming, it will be as vivid as this." In addition, working on visualization in waking life might help, too.

What JoannaB said ^^, plus a couple more suggestions:

First, remember that lucidity does not equal vividness; that you are aware that you are dreaming does not mean that you will have more vivid dreams.

Second, you might consider not caring about vividness. There is much you can explore in a dream without needing to feel the wind or experience bright, clear details. For instance, fly into space, where you wouldn't feel anything anyway.

Also, don't be too concerned about not feeling your dream character you's body. Maybe your unconscious is just helping you out by reminding you that this body you're in right now is not yours -- indeed, if it starts feeling too realistic, you stand a chance of losing lucidity as you might start thinking this body really is you. For what it's worth, I never have a dream body in my higher-level LD's, and I don't mind at all!

Sageous, my dreams are acctualy more interesting and way more vivid than lucid dreams so i will be angry if it never will be vivid and it will just interrupt my dreams because it is so boring without the vividness .What is interesting about doing anything when i have no other sense then blurry vision ? JoannaB , thank you very much i will try that . Anyone else ?? Something ?

^^ Never mind, then; I was just offering a suggestion, and pointing out that LD's have value beyond just pretty pictures. Clearly you weren't interested, and that's fine.

I still suggest that you give your LD's a chance, though. If you enjoy and expect vivid dreams, in time your LD's will likely follow suit. In the meantime, I certainly hope someone tells you what you want to hear...

I am very short sighted in waking life. Recently I have started taking off my glasses sometimes on the weekends, and doing what I can safely do without glasses, exploring how much I can do while my vision is blurry. I have found this to be an empowering experience, well worth exploring. It has taught me to work on overcoming my limitations, to adjust my focus and angle of sight to make things less blurry, to pay more attention to my other senses including my intuition and common sense. Part of me has started to look at my bad eyesight as an opportunity for growth. You may look at your blurry dreams the same way, after all my eyesight in waking life is much more likely to remain blurry, but if I can see advantages in that and find ways to adjust my vision to improve, why not you who is very likely to regain much better sight in your dreams. Oh, and by the way, you could try putting on glasses in your next LD, and see whether that helps.
You may say I'm a dreamer.

In your dreams, to make them more vivid, a lot of people simply shout at their dream to increase the clarity, as you'll have read on the articles that JoannaB linked. A simple shout of "Increase clarity!" can help drastically if you expect it to, which you should, it's your dream after all...

Another thing which helps me a lot, is to look at your hands. Focus completely on your hands for a good 10-20 seconds, noticing everything about them. As you look up you will notice that everything around you is a lot more clear and vivid. Simply increasing your awareness of your surroundings can help a lot as well, because you're taking it in more, and telling yourself that the clarity is important, your subconscious might get the hint.

Another thing that it could be is that you're becoming lucid towards the end of your dreams, so your dream is automatically fading and becoming less clear as you leave the REM stages of sleep. This is something that people can get confused with really easily, and blame themselves, when in fact it's just the lateness of their lucidity. Good luck!

I just would like to add that dreams are based largely on expectations. If you go into a dream, and realize you're dreaming, and then immediately get the thought of "This is going to end real quick so I have to do all I can in this short time." then that is what is going to happen. My lucids have always been decently long and somewhat vivid. I never had to worry about layer 1(Quickly ending) lucids because I never expected them. I have had "low quality" lucids before as you explained though. I would say to fix this you need to increase clarity and stability the moment you notice you are dreaming. Do not worry about the length of the dream. In order to make the lucid more enjoyable at this point you need to engage the senses. Feel the area around you, take a look at the detail. What are you smelling, what can you hear? At this point many people say to rub your hands together, but feeling other things seems to be better. Feel your clothes, feel the wall beside you(If there is one), now here is a weird one, taste the ground. Does the ground taste like ti should? Engaging your senses really does help. This whole process should only take about a minute, and then the rest of the dream can be much more clear. I like to shout "Increase clarity" or "More vivid!" whenever I start my lucids. But I also agree with what was previously mentioned in this topic, your lucids will be better with practice. Not every dream will be a layer 4(Full clarity, full control), in fact, I have never had a layer 4 lucid. Most of my lucids are Layer 2, which is basically what you are experiencing. You have low quality, but better control. Most of my lucids I know I am dreaming, but I don't do much about it. Another good portion of my lucids are layer 3(Good clarity and stability, but little control)
I have become quite interested on the layers of lucidity, and I use them to measure how lucid a dream is. For more information on these layers, click here.
