      Hello,

The timer can be used for either LD or OBE.

To have LD instead of OBE, simply set the timer to longer intervals - approximately 12 to 20 minutes apart. In this way, the tone will sound while you are in REM (which is usually 90 minutes after falling asleep) and function as a "reality check." If you are dreaming when the tone sounds, you should become lucid. It will be an "Ah ha" moment, so to speak.

i didnt really know what you meant by that, but i took the time to read a large portion of your guide. i found what jaydawg might be looking for...if he was looking for it...and im not remembering it wrong.

      SMOKING:
Dried leaves can be smoked in a pipe. They need to be smoked hot and the smoke must be inhaled deeply and quickly to have an effect. Because salvinorin requires high temperatures to vaporize, it is best to hold a flame immediately above the leaves, drawing it down into the leaves the whole time you inhale. The leaves can be smoked in a short-stemmed tobacco pipe, in a bong, or in a \"steamroller\" pipe. Fill up a medium size bowl with leaves. Use a hand-held butane lighter that will go out when you are no longer pressing it, not a match. Have a large ashtray or tip-proof bowl to set the pipe in when you feel you've had enough. Remember that when you are immersed in the experience you may forget you are holding a lit pipe. You could drop it, causing a burn or a fire; therefore, it is best to have a sitter present when smoking. First effects will be noticed within a minute of inhaling. After 5-6 minutes the effects will gradually begin to subside. The total duration of the experience may be less than 30 minutes or as long as an hour.[/b]
that aside, i have to disagree with the whole 'getting blazed and remembering all my dreams' thing. but thats according to my body...so its most likely different for...

ill stop with this giant post now.

Ok I tried your method last night. I went to bed for like 5 hours. Then after 5 hours I woke up via alarm clock. Then I used the RR, fired up the timer and layed back down. I was awake for about 5 minutse MAX. I only remember hearing it beep twice before slipped into sleep. I kept trying to WILD the whole time but for some reason I just fall asleep before I hit any of the stages of WILD. In the morning I woke up thinking the time got turned off in the night b/c I didnt hear it at all. As I aws logging on my PC it beeped so it was going the entire night. I just didnt hear it. I am a SUPER deep sleeper. I had a roomate who would do stuff in the room while I was sleeping and it wouldnt bug me a bit. Any ideas?

EDIT >> DO YOU USE IT TO FALL ASLEEP WHEN FIRST GOING TO BED?? or just once u WBTB??

Would you consider adding a light output to your program? There are a couple of ways you could go about it, but probably the simplest would be to flash the monitor between black and a user selected color and intensity.

This should be effective if you can point your monitor so that your eyes catch a reflection from a wall.

This flash could be used in conjunction with the sound.

Wow that sounds crazy! How would I do that? Would me falling back asleep too quickly have anything to do w/ the fact that I stayed up for only 5 minutes?? The closes I have come to WILDing is I was laying on the couch trying to go to sleep when I went into the stages of wild. All the way to where my eyes started opening and light was coming in so I just stopped. Because I cant sleep w/ light in my eyes. Could these have been my dream eyes opening? Anyway I am kinda obsessed w/ this lucid dreaming. I will try about anything to do it. Ive had 3 lucid dreams to date and 2/3 were by accident. I think I might go back to the CILD (cellphone induced lucid dreaming) ideas. Instead of vibrate I'll use a tone. That way I wont get cancer sleeping w/ my cell phone down my pants all night . If you have any ideas please feel free to share!!!

i know the brainwave generator allows you to program it to flash with lights and all. i know someone messed with it already. ill check it out maybe. also, i left the timer on the entire time i slept, every 12 minutes. some of the tones woke me up a little bit, some of them just gave me detailed dreams. i had it louder than my usual. you should put it really loud if youre a heavy sleeper, unless that will bug your buddies. stay up longer than 5 minutes, more like an hour, then youll be more awake in your next wbtb dream.

      Hello Seeker,

The LD/OBE Timer is not my creation. I just modified it a little to suit my sleep schedule.

Interestingly though, Adam Hewitt of Transparent Corporation asked the creator of the Timer if he could modify it - and then re-offer it to the public for free...although it's free now.

Here is a copy of Adam's proposal to Matt (the Timer creator)
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      Hi Matt,

My name is Adam Hewett, I'm a co-owner of the Transparent Corporation, http://www.transparentcorp.com

I'm currently working on a project involving altered states, Out of Body experiences and Lucid Dreams in particular. This will probably be a plugin available to users of our software products, which focus on providing advanced brainwave entrainment, hypnosis, etc. We've spent years researching and collecting information on altered states, and we have developed some unique and highly effective sessions to help induce OBEs, Lucid Dreams and other states.

The reliability of these sessions is increasing the research progresses, but, as you know, there is no one-size-fits-all solution and there is no way to reliably induce these states in everyone via brainwave stimulation alone. For some people it can require visualization techniques, eliminating fears and psychological barriers, or "tricking" the mind such as in the fascinating "Rhythm Napping" procedure you came up with.

So.. along with this plugin which will contain entrainment sessions and such, I'm hoping to include a comprehensive manual with helpful tips, techniques, exercises and perhaps some additional tools.

I have really enjoyed reading over your OBE Course Book and I've found a lot of the information inside very useful. I was wondering if you would be interested in helping us with this project.

Also, what would you think of allowing us to create an advanced version of your OBE Timer, with specify-able sounds and export functionality, so the user can use the timer in any CD or MP3 player. We would not be selling this, and I would of course give you credit for the idea, put a link to your site.

You would also be free to distribute it on saltcube.

Let me know your thoughts on all this. Looking forward to talking more.

      Adam Hewett

      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think adding visual signals is an excellent idea. Maybe you could contact Adam and put in a few suggestions?

      Smiles,
      Deja

When you first start a method, it usually takes time before you experience the desired result. So many people (including myself sometimes) read about a method, try it, and then if it doesn't work the first few times.....give up on it.

ALL methods take time, even basic WILDS. So don't lose hope. Choose a method and stick with it for at least 30 days before giving up and moving to the next one. I know it's so hard when you're impatiently waiting and hoping, but it pays to perservere.

It's excellent that your dream imagery was more vivid. The more vivid your dream, the easier the recall. The easier the recall, the more you increase your chances of LD as time progresses.
