      A little trick

I signed up to this site today because I had my 1st lucid dream EVER and it was also the day when I found out about lucid dreaming... what happened in my dream was a calibration of things I did in my day like look at these

no.1 running though caves on a game
I did that on a online game in real life

no.2 people were running around the sides of me
they were people who I had seen OR people who I had thought about (e.g. my uncle who’s coming back from holiday today)

no.3 a game character that no one knows if its there or not (in the game) showed up
I had started a clan about this character on the day

Now I became lucid by the time I saw the character (heck he’s not even in that game) witch made me think about it… ill explain my dream

I was running though some caves. And people were running around me (mum, dad, sister, uncle…) witch I thought was normal until… I turn a corner when I see the game character that no ones ever tuck a picture of and think in my head “I better get a picture before the game resets! I could make history!” (the character is supposed to reset your game when you see him) as I turn around I think “wait… he’s not even in this game… I must be dreaming!”

Unfortunately the excitement woke me up. So think about all the things you did in the day. Then you might have dreams about them things. Notice the biggest thing I did in my day was make a clan and that was what made me think it was a dream. So wanna try my tactic?

I dont doubt that what happened during the day manifested themselves into your dreams that night, but... If you actually think about it; for the amount of things that did manifest, there was alot more that didnt. And if you think one bit further; There's no way you can prepare for everything you experienced.

Thanks for contributing the suggesgion though

If all your Dreams do is haunt your daily experience, then there is little ultimate gain. yes, there can be some value, if one had been dealing with some intricate problems and the Dreaming helps to resolve them. But if one is simply doing the same old thing, then to dream of such redundancy would be a tragic waste of Dreamings Potential.

So, the real 'Trick' would be to override the Daily Experience with some concentrated Suggestion to point the Dreaming Mind to higher and better purposes. For Suggestion, one can use Affirmations, or focussed Concentration, or Auto-Suggestion audio programming. The great success people have with Reality Checking is mostly owing to the value it has as Affirmation Suggestion. I've had some success with Auto-Suggestion Audio Programs -- I use word to voice software to convert auto-hypnotic scripts into audio files which I play back while I passively rest or while I sleep. The Audio Content is often incorporated into Dream Content. You can easily imagine how easy it is to become Lucid when a voice speaks out in your Dream, "This is a Dream. You should be Lucid, shouldn't you?"

REM sleep and dreams are a neccesary time period in which the brain makes important neural connections to help you remember and build upon prior knowledge with things you learned and experienced during the day. People refused REM sleep and subsequently dreams are left in a profound state of confusion and mental debilitation. Therefore, it is only logical that you may often incorporate things from waking life into the dream world. After all- conscious or unconscious, it's all part of your life, isn't it?
