      Lucid Shock

Last night before i went to sleep, I decided I didn't want an LD.
But I keep telling myself that i have no control over if I get one or not. Like, with my DILD, I randomly did an RC and became lucid. It was cool, but it scared me because I'm not experienced.

Anyway, last night when I got into bed, I felt like i was paralysed (only of course i wasn't) and I kept trembling really badly. I went and read in the bathroom, and I was still trembling badly.
After I relaxed enough, I only slept for 5 minutes at a time, until I finally slept with no LD's. I actually can't remember my dream at all.

      What does it mean?

I'm a little confused about what the question is...you decided you didn't want an LD, and you didn't get one. It doesn't mean much. LDs are rare for most people; while there are lots of techniques to induce them and make them more frequent/stable/etc, it sounds as though you were doing the opposite of that. As for the feeling you were paralysed when you weren't and trembling, that just sounds like anxiety (over the possibility of scary dream experiences, or otherwise.) May I ask why you're so afraid of lucid dreaming? I can understand that they can seem scary when you're first starting out if it feels like you're not in control and anything could happen, but the best way to gain better control is to practise it. Stay calm and nothing in your lucid dreams can harm you if you don't want it to - even if you do get freaked out and it turns into a lucid nightmare, you can always wake yourself up. With control and awareness you can quickly overcome the fear that's inevitable when you're dreaming something horrible but don't know that you're dreaming.

I am also a little unclear as to what you are asking/telling us. But what I can say is that what you are experiencing is called sleep paralysis. Its completely normal and happens all the time. Especially when you try to lucid dream. All it means is you are getting closer to attaining lucidity.

I don't think it was sleep paralysis. As you say yourself, you felt as if you couldn't move, but you could.

When we are falling asleep, and we are paying attention, we can experience a whole range of strange sensations. They are all related to our body simply getting relaxed and falling asleep. SP has nothing to do with lucid dreaming.

And it sounds like you had a LD and that scared you. That's ok. It was something completely new and strange. But now you know it can happen and how it feels. You are ready for the next one. If you think about what would you like to do in your next one, you will be mentally prepared for it and it won't be scary.

If I misunderstood, please clarify your question, or ask anything else. Happy dreams
