You can dream about anything. But to me it sounds like you were in sleep paralysis. Why complicate matters by assuming it could have just been a dream? It's more likely to be SP. |

yea i know but i just have a hard time beliving it hahaha, ive been trying to induce sleep paralysis for weeks and this time i wasnt even trying and bam! |
Dreams are made up of tiny bits of our waking reality. Memories of the previous day are parsed, thrown away or stored in our permanent recall during sleep. Thinking about sleep paralysis certainly can lead to dreaming about it. One thought - you say you have been trying to induce sleep paralysis for weeks. SP is a natural state that you experience with every sleep session. What a lucid dreamer tries to do is remain aware when it is happening. Anyhoo, you might have been in SP or you might have been dreaming about it... only you know for sure! |
Occasionally I try to WILD in my dreams, unintentionally. What happens is that I feel buzzing sounds etc. and the awareness built makes it a DILD, because by then I know that I'm dreaming. It's hard to explain but you can dream about sleep paralysis and not have the same effects as the real one, because it's in the dream. |
You certainly can. There was a period where I had repeated false awakenings of being paralyzed and freeing myself only to wake up to reality being paralyzed again at square one. If I had only realized I was dreaming I could have taken advantage of the lucidity, but the paralysis felt so real and it was the norm at the time. |

okay thanks guys |

i have dreamt about being in sleep paralysis many times. the reason i can tell it is a dream and not real sp is because it then drifts into another dream or i actually wake up and can conciously remember which parts were dreams and which were waking life. dreams about sp are often less frightening because you werent awake. I think if you are questioning it then it was a dream bcuz most of the time sp is very definite and you will know for sure you are awake while its happening. |
In my opinion, you can dream about anything that you can imagine during a daydream. |
