Need help on getting from sleep paralysis to a dream

I've been following all of the tutorials at this forum, and i just tried to have a WILD. I did pretty well too. I got SP and was expecting to be in a dream within a few moments, but the dream never came. I waited and waited, for half an hour actually, and nothing happened. Finally, because of overheating, i got out of bed to rejuvenate for another try later ( i usually go to bed around 11:00). Any suggestions on what to do in between the SP and the LD?

Did you WBTB before trying to WILD? That'll put you at the edge of REM sleep, greatly decreasing the time you have to wait to get into a dream. And if you did WBTB, then decrease the amount of time you stayed awake for.

I'm sorry this went unanswered for this long, I'm not sure how it was missed.
