      Im About to WILD!!

Ok, I went to sleep at 1:00. I woke up at 7:30. And its now 8:32. At 8:45 im gonna lay back down and attempt to WILD. I am usually up this long before falling back to sleep in school but no school today so I get to try it in the comfort of my bed. I plan on playing the "LUCID DREAM and OBE TIME" at my computer across from my bed. Do u think WILD + the time will work together? Anyway wish me luck. I'll post back w/ results as soon as I wake up again.

This sux... I remember laying there doing relaxation techniques. I layed for about 30 minutes doing this. Then I kept falling asleep into short stories. Totally skipping these wild steps. So I kept waking up every 10 minutes from a short story and then I didnt wake up till my alarm clock went off. I decided not to use teh OBE time b/c after the first one It was super annoying. Any ideas what I did wrong?

You should drink some caffine, or tea before you go back to bed. The point in staying up 30-45 minutes before WILD'ing, is to give time for the caffine to start working, I think.

It's usually pretty hard for me to fall asleep, must I stay up for an hour or can I just wake up and go straight to wild attempt?

Well actually, many people find it easier to WILD as soon as they go to bed.

      err...i've heard the complete opposite

try it and do the latter. I myself dont want no more than a half hour because i to take a long time to go back to sleep once im awake. But then again, i'll be attempting WBTB, not WILD. I dont think it matters. Just as long as you are tired enough to fall back asleep, but also awake enough to not fall asleep completely

well, im no expert, but perhaps you need to work on concentration and keeping your mind at bay. It is important to keep your mind clear untill vibration and hypnogagic imagery sets in

bad. i think i had too much coffee to go strait back to sleep. i had one thick cup. i couldnt really fall back asleep. but when i did i kept going in and out of little dreams. i couldnt stay in long enough for a DILD or anything. maybe less coffee next time.

You should try what I do to clear my mind... works wonders for me.

Picture a mountain in your mind, and when a thought appears picture the thought sitting on a small fluffy cloud. Then picture the cloud carrying the thought floating up over the mountain and disappearing into nothing.

Can't exactly remember where I read this, but it helps me a lot. Hopefully I explained it well enough.

Last night before i tried to go to sleep i decided i would just try wild, not really expecting for it to work but just some practice. After laying there for about 20 to 30 min my body went into sleep paralisis and started REM. I had a hard time staying calm and controlling my breathing during the 1-2 min of REM. After the REM stoped I just layed there aware of my surroundings. I did not fully wild and all I experienced was HI.

Was I close to performing a WILD? I think my problem was that I did it early in the night.
Any tips or hints that could help me get the next stage.

So check this out. My alarm clcok went off yesterday and inside my dream a DC told me it was ok to set my alarm clock for a later time. So I was like OK, I woke up and set it to an hour later. Needless to say I was late for school...
