How would you become lucid in a 3rd person POV dream?

Quite a few of my dreams are in third person POV, rather than first person. For example, last night/this morning I had a dream involving a policeman. "I" only appeared one or two times, in the beginning when I gave the man a note, and near the end in a different scene. The rest of the dream was sort of like a movie that followed the policeman around. How would I become lucid in that dream? Or, to be more specific, how would you perform RCs, etc? Unless I manifest into a body the moment I think "this is a dream," I don't see how I can become lucid and start doing things. Sorry if this is a bit unclear. I'm not sure if I explained my question well enough.

Just be aware, it should be easier since you are always in 1st person. So just keep that in mind, "I'm 1st person" Just be aware
