Need help (I am not doing the same in dreams)

Well, I started out a couple of weeks ago with dream recall, I laughed at remembering dreams when I first started, as before I read a book about it I would be happy to remember THAT I had a dream 1 year ago (excluding what is was about), I was surprised that when I started trying I could remember! They were totally distorted though, now a couple of weeks later I remember dreams almost every night crystal clear!

I am planning to start inducing lucid dreams as I have passed the first steps. BUT, the problem is that, one exercise (if I interpret in correctly) is to ask myself if I am dreaming in situations and then in dreams in similar situations to you know become lucid, but in my dreams I am never where I am in reality (always outlandish places) AND, I am a timid, careful, short, rather weak, goofy guy (in reality), but in my dreams (yes, all of them), I am a raging lunatic, a complete psychopath, when someone says as little as my shoes looks weird, I either shoot them, or beat them till they stops operational and if someone looks in a disturbing way I hit them with my fists (even if they are twice my size and several)…and after any of those examples I laugh or smile. But I look like myself and feel like myself. Also, Anthony Head (Buffy: the vampire…) is in many of my dreams.

Why are the settings in my dreams so different?
Why do I act so different in my dreams?
Is this a problem, if so, how should I use that technique different?
Why is Anthony Head in my dreams?

I am new at this, so the questions may sound dull.

It's normal to be in odd places in your dreams. The thing about Reality Checking is it builds up habit. If you check on a regular basis, you'll begin to check in your dreams just because it's habit, not necessarily because you're in a similar situation.

About the violent aspect of your dreams: Is there anybody, anything, or even life in general that's really irking you right now? Normally I don't think too much about subconscious messages in dreams, but one recurring this often probably means quite a bit. If you're having anything nagging at you during waking life, learn to be at peace with it. Having such violent tendencies in dreams isn't a nice thing; I've been there.

Well, one thing about if it’s a habit that came to my mind when you’re saying that, is that a lot of habits I have when awake, I don’t do anything of the sort I do when I awake, I don’t function the same in my dreams, but I am myself that’s for sure in a weird way.

I don’t know what would be irking more than usual though.

I don’t really experience that I have any sort of tendencies in dreams, I don’t really control myself in dreams, It’s like I said before, that I am myself, but myself acts different in situations that I would have acted in a whole different way, I think, the situations in my dreams are very outlandish sometimes, but they are familiar sometimes; like going to a store for milk, the difference is that I buy my milk with out making the store full of bodies and holes. But myself in the dream world don’t seem angry (!?); he just, you know does it because. I don’t know why really. He laughs a lot though, that don’t seem like anger to me (?). Does the dream self have to reflect oneself in any way?

What do you mean could happen if “I am” like that in my dreams?
