      I'd say this was simply the chance of randomness, and that the blinking in itself isn't relevant: what's relevant if the fact that you woke up twice in a short time frame, which might indicate anxiety/excitement towards the SSILD or in the dream itself.
      It's very important to not assume that a once/twice occurrence is an issue or rule in lucid dreaming: up to some point, you can't really control it just like you said, even more when it's a normal dream.

      Let me make sure I got this straight:

      - You performed a SSILD;
      - You started the lucid dream as a FA;
      - You accidentally/randomly blinked and woke up;
      - You performed SSILD again, and once again you accidentally/randomly blinked and woke up. Right? Ok.

      Then, what I was saying is that the blinking has no connection at all with you waking up: it was like you said due excitement. What you can do to avoid that is at the start of the lucid dream, to spend a minute or two calming yourself down, making sure you're not too hyped, and while you're at it, stabilize the dream as much as possible. Then, once in a while, stop interacting with the dream (you can do a reality check for example, or look away) and make sure you're calm and can waste a few moments focusing without feeling huge anxiety to keep going with the adventure.
