      Lucid Dream Induction mp3

edit: now NEW, easy download option (see below)

      Hi

I've produced a 30 minute lucid dream induction mp3 and I'd like to offer it to you guys with hope that it may help you all.

The mp3 is designed to be listened to following 5-6 hours good sleep although this is entirely to your preference.

Phase 1 consists of 10 minutes traditional bamboo flute accompanied by soothing, natural sounds (bird song and babbling brook) to assist the dreamer back to pleasant sleep. The gradual shift into phase 2 conists of some beautiful male voice choir.

Phase 2 consists of 20 minutes octave-spread, spoken suggestion such as "I am dreaming," and "I am aware that I am dreaming." The suggestions are delayed to bolster repetition. There are some high freq triggers, and binaural beats woven into this phase also.

The mp3 can be downloaded from this location: http://music.download.com/luciddreaminduct...ml?tag=bookmark

edit: you can now download this easily at download.com..just follow the link above

As I said, I hope this mp3 proves to be beneficial to some of you!

      Cheers

      Dear Velmwend,

I started downloading, but it was so slow, and the file so large, that I bailed out.

Do you have a text file of what you did... the narrative. That would allow me to pick and choose a bit, or decide me that downloading the entire thing would be worthwhile.

      ld mp3

      Thank you,
I had no problem downloading and burning onto cd (minor triumph for me!)
and have been listening to it for about three nights. It is very relaxing but no lucidity as yet. It may be some lacking on my part or I was thinking that the voices are too integrated into the music/tempo. Is it possible that the results would be better if the voices were more distinct? I mean, maybe if they were obviuosly distinguishable from the soundscape they would grab the attention better. Perhaps they could even be accompanied by a loud click or tap. Any thoughts? Either way, I will continue to try and will inform you of any breakthroughs.
      Thanks again,
      Joe

      P.S.
Am I dreaming? Are you dreaming right now?

Listened to it. No LDs, but that is a fantastastic piece of work. I need to burn it onto a CD to listen to while I am stuck in traffic. Quite relaxing!

hey that is brilliant! No LDs yet but then I have only had one so far so my hopes werent high

But it really helped me relax, in fact i was very surprised, it got me into the early stages of a WILD, I experienced concious sleep paralysis for the first time and saw strange images forming. Unfortunately it was about then when my dad came in and turned the light on (grr....)

Awesome piece of music. Thank you for sharing it. Had a lucid dream my first night using it . The words I am dreaming got into my dream, which caused me to start saying that to myself in my dream, which triggered the lucidity. Unfortunately, shortly after I realized I was dreaming, I then woke up. But at least it's a start.

"I am dreaming, i am dreaming......."

Man, that ran chills all over me! Once again, great contribution. I'll have to check out bandwidth limitations, perhaps with your approval, we can host it here on DV.

I am thinking of a nice mini-tutorial to go along with it containing a link to the downloadable.

PM me and we will talk about it

I know what you're talking about Jay because too much sound can be very distracting, especially when you wake up and are trying to remember a dream, which for me almost requires total silence, or at least no voice giving me very loud suggestions, which can just blow the dream right away. That is one of the things I like about this file. It sort of gives the suggestions in the background like a subliminal suggestion almost, but yet, you can still hear it. These are the kind of files I have the greatest success with, a music file with barely audible suggestions in the background. So, I've taken what I learned from this file and created my own, only it is 2 hours long and has a couple more suggestions given pretty much the same way the suggestions in this file are. I added the following suggestions to mine. Do a reality check now ! I remember all of my dreams upon awakening. I'm still fine tuning it, but I am grateful for what I learned from this file. It's not that hard to make your own mp3 files to listen to at night or even subliminal files to listen to during the day with programs like Multisequence and Goldwave.

Ok, im new here. But i was just wondering. Should i play this while im going to bed? Have it on a timer for when im 5-6 hours into sleep? Or after 5-6 hours of sleep wake up, play it and then go back to sleep? I just wanted to try this tonight, and wasnt sure on how to do it. Thank you very much.

well, the 8minute brainstretch MP3 actually improves my recall drastically, when i have it loop all night. just make sure you dont have the volume too loud to sleep.

      Hi WindsOfPlaque,
The most effective way for you to use this file depends entirely on you and what your sleep patterns are like. Since I often wake up almost exactly an hour going to bed in a vivid dream, I could probably listen to the file when first going to bed and benefit from it. I think that most people might find it more beneficial to listen to after about 5 or 6 hours of sleep though since they would be a bit more rested at this time which would make it easier for them to become aware during their dream. You just need to experiment to see which way works best for you. Even if you listen to it right when going to bed the worst that could happen is that you would just sleep through it since you might be too tired to become aware in your dream. Best of luck.

      And jay,
Thanks for that comment you made about the mp3 file. I searched back and found the earlier post where you included a link to the site where that file is, and that is one awesome site with some incredible free sound files, which I plan to download tonight.
      Thanks.
