      Just a thought

I was thinking of ways to improve success and I realized I dont think Ive ever heard anybody talk about this. I was thinking why not do RC's in a LD what better place to see your dreamsigns. I know this may seem like a waste of some LD time but it may make for better chances in the future. Has anybody tried this? If so, how did it go? Ill be tryin it in my next LD assuming I can last more than an instant next time

      Hoju,

Part of the reason you do reality checks in waking life is to hard wire your brain to do them in dreams. So most people do reality checks in their dreams in order to make sure they are lucid. That is really the whole purpose of finding dreamsigns so that when you see them in a dream you will think "ah, perhaps I should do a reality check to see if this is a dream!" So its not a waste of dream time at all, on the contrary it is a very vital part of lucid dreaming.

      Hope this helped,

      Nick

Actually, it's not a bad idea at all. Kind of like this, I read somewhere (maybe in the tutorials section?) about a method where in an LD, you tell one of your dream characters to remind you that you're dreaming next time you're in a dream. I think that's quite a good idea too.

In fact, any method that involves trying to program yourself to become lucid whilst in a lucid dream already has potential. Your subconscious is much more open to suggestion in dreams than in waking life.
