      had my first lucid dream!!!

last night or rather this morning i had my first lucid dream, didnt use any techniques just thought about lucid dreaming before i fell asleep again in the morning. It was amazing but there was a bit of a problem- at first i could fly and run through walls but then my powers weakened and i couldnt fly, i lost greater control of the dream and all i was aware of was that things i thought about would happen. So i keep thinking scary thoughts against my will and scary stuff happens, is there any way to maintain solid awareness whilst in a dream as i think this is what i lost toward the end of the dream. incidentally i did two reality checks- pushing my finger through my hand didnt work it wouldnt go through, holding nose and trying to breath proved i was in a dream thanks

Tell yourself outloud that its just a dream, and you can do what you want, and when you do that, do a reality check.

That should keep you convinced and let you maintain control.

A technique to maintain lucidity should be spinning, that is moving quickly your arms, like swimming or so.

Actually spinning as in rotating yourself
