      Sedation and LD'ing

Has anybody ever gone in for surgery, sedation dentistry or just been sedated and tried what I suppose would be a WILD?

      That's an idea

I have never tried it, but am afraid it wouldn't work on me. I'm usually a little too nervous to even think about doing something like that under those circumstances.

Frin what I remember from my surgeries, I just went out like a light and weent deep, it was almost like instantaneously.

Would be interesting though. Somebody try this please!

When I got sedated there wasn't really much time to think about anything. The surgeons told me I was going to get an onion taste in my mouth and then fall asleep immediately and that's what happened.

Huh, you guys are lucky. I kept fighting my way back out of the sedative... repeatedly... Felt like forcing your way to lucidity in a dream; but I'm pretty sure they weren't false awakenings.

Feeling your wisdom teeth being taken out is not nice, though thankfully they kept the Novocaine going.

I remember keep staying awake when being sedated, but whenever I close my eyes I went asleep. I wish I proved myself an hardcore 7 year old and kept staying awake

I had only one experience with narcosis during surgery. Well, doctors put a little mask on me and within several seconds I went to sleep. It felt kinda funny. In my mind I saw my body turn invisible and disappear. My legs and arms also felt like air baloons for a second or 2. There werent many thoughts. The speed with which you are blacking out is astonishing. A couple of breaths and you are out.

After I woke up I was so groggy and tired that I just laid in bed for hours...

Sedation is not a natural sleep

True. When I woke up after surgery I felt like I had the worst hangover ever.

Interesting. I wonder if there are...wait, I know there have to be studies on sleep under certain sedatives, I wonder if the cycles are the same or if you are just simply out like the dead.
