Yes, I know, another WILD question.

Well methinks I got the closest to WILD I've got before, even though it was only really to the relaxation step. My whole body felt numb and it felt as if my arms were on backwards (wierd, I know). So, in the end I chumped it. My heart started racing and I chumped it. Oh well, better luck next time.
However, I do have a couple of questions for someone a little more experienced if they would be so kind to answer this post.

Firstly, I don't really feel as if I'm experiencing much HI at all, has anyone had this problem and can you deal with it?
Secondly, the other thing that ruined it for me I think was the itching! Oh god the little points on your nose that you hope will go away, but only get worse! It came at the worst possible time, just as my body was getting completely numb!
Will I have to start the relaxation part all over again if I scratch the itch?

Any and all advice will be much appreciated.
      Cheers.

I'm not really very experienced with the WILD technique either but I do get pretty close, i.e. I feel like different parts of my body are spinning in different directions. I totally get what your saying about the arms on backwards. If I have an itch I scratch it but try not to think about it to much, and return my scratching hand back to its original position. I get no HI either but as I as drift closer to the spinning stage I notice that I am looking at the blackness in a different way, almost like instead of looking at closed eyes I am looking though open eyes into a pitch black room. That might not make sense but it's the only way I can describe it. Also my heart races sometimes but I don't think its because I'm excited, don't ask me why though that's just the feeling I get.

      Good Luck

Night Wolf, try everything again, but this time try it as soon as you wake up. Like on a nice Saturday morning, just sleep in. I find that WILDs are more frequent if I wake up and then go back to sleep.

NW, you sound just like me.

My best piece of advice for you is to combine it with WBTB. I managed once, and I've WBTBed twice - and the other time I had an LD anyway!

However, in total I must have tried around fifty times (non-WBTB), with no sucess.

Oh, and as soon as you get into the dream, the chances are that you aren't fully lucid. Really wake yourself up! I know that you've just passed straight from waking into dreaming, but you'd be amazed at the amount of lucidity that is lost in the process.

I'v been WILDing for months now with much success and one thing that iv yet to see is \"HI\" NEVER have i seen this before in my life

Secondly, the other thing that ruined it for me I think was the itching! Oh god the little points on your nose that you hope will go away, but only get worse! It came at the worst possible time, just as my body was getting completely numb!

Yes you will, the itch is a very very good thing, its like your body asking your conciousness if its ok for it to go into SP, if you scratch then obviously you felt it and it cant shut down yet and if you completely ignore it it fools your body into thinking you've lost conciousness and it beging to go into the later stages of WILD (SP etc...)

just remember to totally ignore the itch and focus harder on your breathing if you move a muscle or your eyes then you foil all your progress

You just reminded me that I'd read that somewhere before. Cheers for that. I tried to ignore the itch for so long, but I was going crazy and finally caved. Arrrrrggghhh!

Thanks for the input everyone, I'm sure I'll be trying WILD a lot more.

HI might not neccessarily happen in a WILD...you can go straight from numbness to dream.

      Yes, but HOW!?

I've had these exact same problems! Out of what I've tried, NOT scratching an itch seems to get me farther, even though I've never had any success yet...

Last night I tried WILD at 5:30am, after doing some math (woke me up alot lol weird). I didn't really had the motivation becouse I didn't get enough sleep the last few days.

But then I 'remember' having vribrations... And I allso remember for sure that I had the feeling some-one came up to my bed, really quickly by the way, and just lied exactly IN me, like the person was made out of engery and merged with me, I felt my entire body tingeling. That was weird.

      Think I fell asleep then...

The day before I read something about some one having a feeling that a girl went to lie next to him. So I think that triggerd that my 'some one lie-ing in my bed, Over me'.

Had a nice dream recall on the way to school about kissing a girl though... I remember having some influence but Way to vague. =)
