      My WILD Wall :)

Hey all, Wondering if someone could be of assistance,
During my attempts to achieve a WILD i always seem to hit the same wall. I get to an amazing stage where i see very vivid HI, then lose conciousness for a short amount of time before coming round again but feeling very groggy. Now firstly i realise this is probebly a stage too far, as in, i've overshot the relaxation stage... but I find this an interesting state due to the fact that im basically seconds away from sleep at any moment, its just 'uber' hard to maintain conciousness. I think this is a key stage for me, if i can find a way to use this stage to its potential then i could WILD nearly all the time.

Im almost certain that others have experienced this before, you simply fall asleep for a few and then wake up really tired... Anyone know a way to recover from or use this situation to further the WILD attempt?

      Thanks

No no! Let yourself go! When you're THAT close to sleep, and you KNOW you're about to dream, and HI is passing, that's when you should let yourself drift. When it FEELS right to YOU! You're INCREDIBLY close, good luck.

Thanks for the response blindside ,
I understand your reasoning for suggesting that i "let go" but thats the major problem. I do let go, even if i try to fight it i cant so i inevitably let go. The thing is i can never let the process go and maintain conciousness, i always end up losing conciousness and waking the next morning .
I think i need some mind game to play or some technique that will keep me somewhat concious through this process.

      Thanks

Ahh, I see what you're getting at. I guess just let yourself go, but for you, get something in the background that says, "you are dreaming!" over and over again. Hard call mate :-/. Good luck.

When you are seeing that HI, focus solely on that, merely recognizing that it is HI is a great step forward.

Once I see HI, I act on what I see. For example, if I see an object on the table, I attempt to go to it and pick it up and that's what starts, or brings me into, the lucid dream.

      Hope that helps!

      dj_kundalini,
These are done before sleep. Im aware its easier in the morning as thats the only time ive been able to achieve a WILD, but in reality id much prefer to learn to WILD at night.

      Blizzz,
or example, if I see an object on the table, I attempt to go to it and pick it up and that's what starts, or brings me into, the lucid dream. [/b]
Yeah ive experimented with that in the past, i had some really good experiences where i nearly entered the scene, just those experiences didnt come very often so i thought i must be trying to enter too early or something. Blizzz, may i ask how often you succeed in your WILD attempts?

      Thanks

I'll often have several successful attempts in a morning if I have the time. Once I get lucid, I will usually stay that way for the rest of the morning / night. It's like something gets turned on and stays on for the rest of my "sleep". Even if i get WILD several times, wake up and the drift back to sleep without a WILD, I'm very likely to DILD shortly after. It's almost like your brain gets trained for the night.

I can identify with the lucid switch, i find if i become lucid once i can usually continue to have a few during the night. Do you ever have WILD'S during night attempts? And how long have you been practicing WILD's?

      Thanks for the help

I have done a few WILDS at night, but they are much more difficult for me. I generally just want to sleep, or I'm too drunk to bother

In the morning however, I can do them pretty much whenever I want. Like this morning for example, I had 3 or 4 before going into work. I set my alarm clock so that I have about 2 hours to LD in the morning before I actually have to get up for work.

I've been doing WILDs for probably 8 months or so. It's the easiest way to LD imo.
