      HILD with BrainWave entrainment

      Yo ! hehe

umm last night I was attempting HILD and using BrainWave to help, I went through most of the steps of hild but I forgot what happened after the plane step. So I started thinking about things sort of, and relaxing my body completely, listening to brainwave entrainment. And it was weird because before I fell asleep I was completely relaxed seeing things like talking to people and I was talking to them and I would use facial expressions in the thought and then I would think about my reality face and I didnt move, and that happened a few times, it felt like I moved my face but it was in my mind. Or it felt like I moved my arms, but they didnt.

      Fun stuff heh,

Any thoughts on what this was ? Like I would see something scowl at it, but my face didnt move, it was in the exact same position.

      hey! That's common to happen!

I'm no experienced lucid dreamer, but I've read a lot and experienced that personally.

You do something in your dream like move your hand up, and you just Sorta do that in real life.

      If I'm understanding correctly. lol

I read about how in a dream, a women who could lucid dream at will, drew three giant triangles, and Debarge (sp?) would monitor how her hands were, and the muscles that would have made those movements sorta moved a bit.

What I meant by this was that my eyes were closed, but I was using my mind to see. And with my eyes closed and my face completely still, I could scowl at someone in my mind, and have it feel completely real. But know my face didnt move at all, same with say lifting my arm, it didnt move at all, but it felt like it did...

Thats the best way to describe it, I was concious that my physical body wasnt moving at all. And yet it felt like I was in the "dream" . Kinda weird

      Re: HILD with BrainWave entrainment

I think you were starting to have an Astral Experience. Everyone has an astral body that they can seperate from their physical body. When you felt the sensation of movement that didn't occur physically your astral body was trying to exit your physical body. You should learn to contol these astral movements so that you can leave you'r body and enter your astral body. Advantages of astral projection are
      1. Being on the astral plane(also called the spirit world or such)
      2. Journeying through this beautiful astral plane.
      3. You can fly so high that you can end up in space!!!

      Hi Zeek.

I've experience the same, but a long time ago.

It happened during my attempts at astral projection. I'd read about it and decided to try it. I got into this super relaxed state, on the verge of sleep and I willed my arm to move. From the elbow up I raised my arm, but at the same time I could still feel that my arm was lying on the bed. It's a really freaky sensation and hard to describe.

The experience scared me quite a bit and I didn't try to astral project again.
Yeah...I'll admit it...I was a scaredy cat back then.

But did i actually have an astral experience or dream it? Don't know. Back then I was sure I'd done it. But now I'm thinking it was a dream.
Either way, it was a memorable experience.

Anyway! Yes you described it rather well, except I think it happened after I woke up but I kept my eyes closed, so I was right out of sleep I can't remember now though...

Anyway! Yeah, hard to describe, but its like you will your arm to move, and you can feel it move, but you conciously know it didnt move.. BUM BUM BUM...

      Astral Projection, eh ?

Well, maybe I will try to relax and do it again sometime ^_^

      Thanks for replies

Hey again Zeek. Of course I'm watching your posts....gotta keep an eye on my pet.

On this same subject, I've had dreams where I've astral projected. The sensation I experienced in the dreams is the same sensation I described in my previous post.

And I've also felt the same feeling of almost a dual existence? when stuck in sleep paralysis. Iike I'm moving or slipping away yet I know I'm lying in bed. But the sleep paralysis slip feels slightly different than the astral projection separation.

Hahah..I began this post because i had a point. But now I can't remember what it was. Maybe i should wait till I'm better before posting any other responses.

Hrm, I don't think it was an "astral experience." Sorry to dissapoint. What happened was you were entering your dream - you were in a pretty deep hypnagognic state. You were doing a WILD. You were entering your dream.

      Not disappointed in the least.

I never said I had an astal experience. Just that I've dreamed that I've astral projected. And was comparing that sensation to the other sensation i get when I'm in sleep paralysis.

And I still don't remember wtf my point was to begin with. lol. I was in a severly Nyquill-ed up and drowsy state when I posted.

But I agree with you Eric E. WILD.
