Thread: Strange experience. HI, DILD...?

I can't remember the events that followed this, I was most likely in a deeper sleep.

Last night I am suddenly aware that I am staring at my closet door. Except, there are a few unusual looking things around my room, such as a large potted plant. I knew I didn't have a plant in my room, so I realized this could have been an LD. Suddenly, I realized my eyes were closed! I squinted them shut (I'm not sure if I did this in real life or dream) to make sure I wasn't actually looking at my room. Sure enough, nothing changed. I just continued to look around my room for a while, I even thought about rubbing my hands together to help induce the LD, but for some reason or another (lack of control, maybe) I didn't. Then the image started to fade.

I awoke looking at the exact same part of my room that I was dreaming about, sans plant.

What was this?...

*edit* Forgot to mention... I took 4 mg's of melatonin before sleeping that night, relevant to what happened?
