      Pre-emptive spin?

I've been having trouble making my lucids last. I've had 7 lucids so far, and they all just seem to end after about 10 seconds. This isn't because I get too excited (or at least I don't feel I'm getting excited), the dream just deteriorates after a while and I lose it. So I was thinking to spin at the very moment I attain lucidity, to make sure I'm properly grounded in the dream. Is this a good idea? Are there better ways to do this?

just ask for clarity, just focus on that and keep that focused and it should make everything vivid

it seems to keep me from breaking down into that 2d perception of your dream scape that leads to you waking up

      duno if that helps ne?

How do the lucids end? Do you wake up, or do they turn to black.

My dreams often go to black as soon as I becoem lucid, and I used to think that there was no way to recover it, but I realized it I keep rubbing my hands and wait, usually I will begin to enter another dream, in which i am very lucid

I use the rubbing hands technique and is very successful for me. I would highly recommend it. The problem with spinning is unless your talking to yourself while spinning, you may end up in a new scene and not realize your dreaming and fall back into the dream. So say while spinning..."i'm spinning in a dream" and repeat until the new scene forms.

At the moment I attain lucidity, everything is very clear. Then as soon as I start moving, it all becomes fuzzier. Then my area of vision starts to degrade, and I get a sort of tunnel-effect. Before my vision completely collapses into itself I wake up.

I've tried spinning in an all-black situation before and it was highly effective, but it seems rubbing hands might be best suited towards my situation. I don't know about saying things in lucid dreams, I've never had the chance to talk (my lucids have so far been devoid of DC's). I'll try to remember to rub my hands next time, see what happens.
