      Question...

hey everyone, im new here, and new to this whole lucid dreaming deal... i love the idea and i want to master it... now, i tried this: ok, i made a nice comftorable spot for myself in my bed, i layed down, no light, no tv, no nothing, i closed my eyes, and breathed really heavy... after a while i felt my heart beating then i started to imagine stuff.... whats goin on, and how do i make the imagined stuff seem more real... any help would be great, thx..

      PS
if i could achieve this... could i make it where im on like a zombie patrol /w a shotgun, and stuff like that, lol...

You seem to be on the right track to WILDing, but you need to make sure you're falling asleep. How can it be a dream if you're not even asleep, huh?

The best way to do what you're doing is to sleep for 5-6 hours, wake up, and THEN do it. After 5-6 hours of sleep is when you begin to dream.

And, oh yeah, you can do anything you can imagine.

Just stick with it and you'll definitely get it!

Yep anything is possible, literally anything. Time travel, space travel, matrix effects, and the list goes on...

      And of course, zombie patrol

Well, I've never had a WILD before, but what I think happens is, you wake up after 5-6 hours of sleep, you go back to sleep while telling yourself "I will have a lucid dream" Or something like that, and from what I've heard you're supposed to wake up from bed in a dream... Then you do a reality check and you're off.

Its important to stay calm during those 'sensations'

Check out the TUTORIALS FORUM, and it has some great stuff that we have worked on to help lucid newbies out on the course of lucid dreaming

Sorry to discourage you a bit, but breathing heavily causes hyperventilation, which can cause blacking out. However it's not very useful for purposes of relaxation and LD induction...

When you say, "...started to imagine stuff..." it sounds like you were on the brink of going straight into a lucid dream. When that happens to me, I try not to impart any control at all on the images that come into my head, but at the same still remain cognizant of the fact that a lucid dream is likely to follow.
I know just what you mean about the heavy (deep) breathing; in that in-between state, I can always hear my breathing change to a much deeper, more relaxed rythem.
The best idea is just to play with it, and try not to get too excited when the images come.
