Lucid Dream question ( please answer )

on wednesday feb 1 i had my first lucid dream

just please explain to me this... the dream started off as i was in third person view... i opened my eyes and looked at my clock... i think it said something like this 98 : 43 then i knew i was dreaming just then i looked at my blinds ( still dreaming ) and light shone through and i woke up

can some one please tell me why i woke up so easily?

      Thanks

I gather this is common for beginners, often time you get very excited or just dont have your mind developed enough to handle it, people say to do things like spinning and rubbing your hands together to obtain more detail and focus yourself more.

      Prolonging Lucid Dreams

It also depends on whether or not you were naturally waking up anyway. It may be that you became lucid in the last few stages of REM in which case there isn't that much you can do, other than lay very still and concentrate on re-entering the dream.
I agree with the previous post - check out the links to the tutorials you may find something that works perfectly for you.
      Good Luck!!

p.s. Congratulaions on your first Lucid Dream
      Are you dreaming or awake?
