      Help! Trouble Attaining Lucidity!

I cannot seem to Lucid Dream! (Hey, that rhymes!) I always remember my dreams very well, but in my mind I have trouble imagining clear things- normally it is just black.

I have not figured out my dream signs, but I have some ideas.

      1. Buses (20 dreams with buses)
      2. Deja-vu (its happened 5 times now..)
      3. Myself dying

My dreams often involved my getting either killed, injured or confused.

After I wake up from a dream, I feel really stupid. "Why didn't I realise that it was a dream after I got stabbed with a knife and died, and was alive again?" and other such things.

Any tips? I have been attempting for a few monthes now.

You just have to try try try!!

I dont know many tips to help you, but you should cheak out the Tutorial section. You could also created a dream journal on this site....lets you forget old dreams so that you can concentrate on the newer ones.

I'll look around to see if I can find anything that can help you,

Well, it's natural to be 'stupid' in your dreams.
I've taken a ride with the CEO in a minature stealth fighter, through a city.
If that isn't 'Woah, that would never happen'.. anyway my point is it happens to everyone, so don't beat yourself up

Figure out your dreamsigns. Do you take a bus every day?
If not, be more vague and use 'buses and cars'
If you do see buses every day, then a more focused sign is better for now.

The point of dreamsigns and reality checks is twofold:
      1) It raises your awareness of whether you're dreaming, at all times. It teaches you that you can easily fool yourself.
      2) It provides an instinctive trigger for lucidity. This is important, because if it isn't a habit, and instinctive for you, then it probably won't happen (the lucidity that is)

Often people end up having a lucid dream without the dreamsign, but it was indirectly a help to them because it raised their emphasis and understanding of our sense of reality.
You just CAN'T expect to go to sleep and say 'If anything wierd happens, I must become lucid!'
That simply doesn't work. At least for most beginners

I ride a bus twice every day (excluding weekends).

I have LOTS and LOTS of deja-vu. Almost all of my dreams connect with others! (Or in my dream, I 'remember' doing it)
