      WILD time

I have had many lucid dreams over the last few years, at various times i have have paid more attention and time to them. In learning more about them over the last few weeks i have found that maybe half of my dreams have been through WILD. Generally i adopt a coffin posture and relax as much as possible, tense then relax ecetera. One problem for me is that i still get a thrill from the feel that i am about to lucid dream and often in the transitory stage get a racing pulse and lose the focus. The sensation of leaving your body is pretty cool, slowly lifting your 'spirit' arms and entering a dream. Have only had one bad experience out of many WILD's.

      Happy hunting!

      Alien Abduction

A few years ago whilst i was at University i was relaxing into sleep. I wasn't trying to WILD, nor was i aware that you could. I had a room mate at the time who had already nodded off. As i drifted off my focus remained on the ceiling, eyes half closed. Adter maybe a few minutes i saw what could only be described as like a battle cruiser from a Star Wars movie. After being fascinated watching that for about a minute i became aware that i couldn't move, obviously going into paralysis. The freaky thing for me was that i was turned slightly to one side, i could see the wall but not the rest of the room. One that wall i saw three shadows. Three pretty distinctly alien shadows. I could hear them speak but not understand. They seemed to have instruments and be discusssing what to do with me. This went on for a few minutes, then after trying to wake for quite a while i awoke shouting. My room mate thought i was losing it, lol. I couldnt really say i saw aliens, hmmmm, bad dinner. Since i have read that you can hallucinate as you transition. I have had plenty of other amazing experiences, well worth the effort. Long story i know, but it's funny to look back on.
If i only knew then what i did now.

You are using WBTB along with WILD, right? Or at least a daytime nap.
If not, then it's near inevitable that you'll drift off into unconsciousness.
The only exception to this rule, that I've heard of, are tibetan dream yogis. Some of them claim to stay conscious all the way through slow wave (delta) sleep.

I have beeing mentalizing myself to try to WILD sometime.... but i prefer not to take the chance. . . I see a little Horror movie and I get petrified. . . . . . . . . on the transitory stage if I have the bad luck of seeing something a litle spooky I don't know what would happen to me. . . . . just thinking about it... yikes.... I'm here writing on the PC in the dark and I can't stop looking at the door just because I mentioned it
