could be a hypnagogic hallucination, often found in narcoleptics. from what i recall this occurs when the individual's brain isn't able to shut off the dream state upon the individual's awakening. My girlfriend has had a couple of these, they scare the sh!t out of her as she sees shadows and hears sounds (that really aren't there)....... this isn't a psychotic episode whatsoever, so remember that if you have this issue (no need for any panic). |
