How exactly do you go into your dreams? When I was about 5 or 6 I would imagine walking through a house, then suddenly the house I was imagining walking through seemed to suddenly become real, like a a ripple came over everything and it was completely real, I would do this 3-4 times a night in the span of about thirty minutes a lucid dream. Now I just focus on a door, and opening the door, revealing pitch blackness. Then I imagine that slowly the blackness is actually water and that I'm flying over the water at great speed at night, just like the opening sequence of the movie The Lost Boys. I find myself now being to go into a lucid dream in shorter amounts of time, like 5 minutes or so, and I was just wondering how you all get into your lucid dreams?

Much more difficult for me than that!

You sound like you can almost WILD at will. You must be a natural lucid dreamer. I am not so lucky!

It was easier as a child; focus was easy to obtain because I didn't know what I was doing, I went along with it. Now I have more trouble with it simply because I know what I'm doing and I know what I can do. In that, sometimes I focus too much to the point that as soon as I WILD I break out of it because I suddenly realise I did it and became too excited. The best way to do it now, for me, is taking it very slowly.

i know...sheesh.

I honestly think that if you do it when your a kid, then it comes naturally later in life...its easier for kids to learn.

You ppl seem to do rituals to become lucid... (opening a door into darkness, hopping on 1 foot in 3 complete circles while reciting the theme song of That 70's Show)... the only way i can become lucid is realizing there is something wrong with the setting and that it's not real, which doesn't happen all that often.

I used to be able to lucid at will...I'd always instinctively know that I was dreaming, but then when I started to find out that it had a name and some methods other people had I tried them and now I can't seem to have them anymore. I came really close while trying to WILD the other night, but altogether I've been lucid dreamless for a few weeks now.

Dont mock the power of WILD, its basicly you hypnotising yourself a bit to enter a lucid dream. And LD's rock. so stfu!!!
