      New Dream Re-entry LD Method

The Dream Re-entry Method described in the Tutorial Section seems to have immense possibilities for reliably inducing LDs, probably much better and easier than DILD, WILD, or WBTB. '' I already used this technique for re-entering fading LDs on several occasions and it worked great. '

Here's a variation of the Dream Re-entry Method that I believe may substantially increase its effectiveness and allow you to reliably induce LDs on a regular basis.

Create a CD with the phrase "You're Dreaming!" occurring once every 15 minutes for the duration of the CD (75 minutes). Leave a 30 minute silent period before the first utterance so you can fall asleep easily. Have the CD player beside your bed with the volume set quite loud through loudspeakers, but DON'T play the CD yet.

After waking up from a dream, try the Dream Re-entry Method. If you don't enter a LD and are still awake, start the CD. You will probably soon return to sleep and have a non-lucid dream, so the phrase will either alert you to the fact that you're dreaming -- or it will wake you up so you can repeat the Dream Re-entry Method. I think this technique has enormous possibilities.

      Any comments or suggestions?

sounds like a good idea. however, i try not to use technology to induce lucids, as i don't want to become dependant. that's just me though, let us know how it goes

“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” (or better yet: three...)

The idea is to inject a short pulse of energy into the sleeping brain that will trigger momentary awareness that will be maintained as you fall back into sleep. I made a couple of CDs today using 1 second pulses of white noise modulated by a 20 Hz beta wave, spaced 10 minutes apart and will try them out during the next few days.

The goal is to quickly remember the last clear dreamscene and concentrate on it. Hold it steady in your mind like a snapshot as you fall back into sleep. Visualize any moving images as static images. If you can't remember anything or if the pulse hits during NREM sleep, try WILD.
