It was about 4 hours after I fell asleep. My brother was up until 3 am playing video games as usual and I did a RC for the hell of it and I was awake. I went downstairs and told him to lower it because he thinks we can't hear it when we're asleep. I go upstairs and get back into bed. I didn't feel like doing a WBTB and I was asleep only 4 hours so I didn't bother even trying.

I'm sure this has happened to everybody during their normal lives. All of a sudden you hear a high pitched ring in one of your ears. Well this time, I wasn't even in bed 5 minutes and instead of a high monotonic noise, it was a low monotonic noise. It's the first time I've heard one at that frequency my whole life. It went away after about 15 seconds and I managed to get it come back in little waves for about a minutes but it went away after that.

Has anyone experienced this monotonic low sound before? I doubt it was HI or anything like that because I hadn't done a thing to bring it about and I was only in bed for a couple of minutes.
