In theory, everyone should be able to dream lucidly. There's no reason why not. In practice, some people just take to it better than others . |

can anyone get lucid, or are some people just incapable? i sorta feel like its taking too long. And i am not stressing about it that much but i dont understand why its takin a while. |

As far as I know, it should be possible for anyone. Some people just have an easier time than others. For example, I started talking about the subject to my gf the other day and apparently she is aware that she is dreaming all the time. |

---Lucid Experiences: 15---
"In my nightmare, I feel so alive
In my dreamscape, escapades
I make the grade, I save the day."
- Eve 6, Nightmare
"And through it all
How could you cry for me?
Cause I don't feel bad about it.
So shut your eyes,
Kiss me goodbye,
And sleep.
Just sleep.
The hardest part's
The awful things that I've seen."
-My Chemical Romance, Sleep
Some people find it easy and have on really quickly. I've only had one LD, it was a low level one and 3 and a half months after trying to LD. Some people are just lucky. |

Everyone can lucid dream, but the length of time it takes to get the hold of it is diffirent for everyone. I believe that most of it has to do with motivation. If you are totally pumped for lucid dreaming, for whatever that reason may be, it may come easier to you. I believe it also depends on the degree of motivation, you need to be really really motivated then it will most likely come to you easily, like it did for me. |

Maybe you already are...How's your recall at the moment? |

Try to stick with it, when you finally succeed it will be worth it |

Try to stick with it, FluBB. It may be a lot of work now, but it is certainly worth it in the end. Everyone is capable of LDing, and with enough dedication and confidence, you will be LDing in no time! |

I agree. Lucid dreaming is a skill, just like any other skill. It doesn't really "come naturally" to anyone, and is going to take some work, especially if you are not yet used to the experience. Those of us "natural" LDers are only as seasoned as we are because we've been doing it for years, and it has become more familiar to us. |

gratz man, i've actually noticed that complaining about not having LD's seems to cause one to occur for many people. My favourite things are just doing whatever you think of at the moment, in my last LD i was walking along, and saw a guy with a hat, so just took it off his head and kept walking, things like that are quite liberating in a dream Also flying, and making DC's do what you want just by using willpower. |

Yes dream journals are very helpful. Once you get a few dreams in there you'll start remembering them like a master. Dream recall is one of those things that you either have right away or you need to build upon it. I happened to be pretty good with dream recall anyway, but trust me a dream journal only makes things better. |

ya i have been writing in a dream journal for about 4 months, and i remember like 2 or 3 everynight on average, do i really need to type it up? and what classifies a dream, a black period (which i am guessing is sleep with no REM) and then later another dream comes? |
|
<("<)(>")>
I never knew there was a black period...... |

LDs: approx. 51
Why sleep when you can dream?
