      Problems with lucidy

Hey again, finally had my first lucid and experienced some major problems.
ill try and get straight to the point. heres part of the experience.

As i walked through the doorway i stopped. Wait, where am i going, what am i doing, am i in a dream? i thought. Yes! I am dreaming! Suddenly i felt so heavy and i was being pulled down backwards to the point i fell on my back, proped up against a wall. Still in contol i forced myself back up. I then tried jumping because i remember you should go higher and land softer if your lucid dreaming. When i jumped i only came slightly off the ground, about an inch or so. I felt sooo heavy still. I tried again, same result. [/b]
      1)can anyone explain this?
2)how do i overcome the barriers of putting my hand through walls etc?

Maybe try completely stabilizing yourself and the LD first, before getting down to some serious control tricks. Get yourself to calm down, become fully lucid, then try again. Some people look at their hands or do different things to stabilize the dream.

Look, I'm just trying to help.

Do you actually do anything to try to stabilize yourself before you try sticking your head through walls? From your question, it sounded like you became lucid for second before you tried your trick. And considering this was your first lucid, how could you have already tried these tips??

Since it was your first Lucid, chances are you still kind of questioned whether or not you were dreaming, so you didn't really believe you could do it.

Try what Burns suggested, after you realize your dreaming, remain calm, try a few other reality checks to make sure your dreaming so that theres no doubt.

If your still having problems, you may just need more practice.
