have you tried an alarm clock? setting it to wake you up in 2-3 hours helps, or is it supposed to be 5-6 hours? i dunno, but use an alarm clock and maybe it'll get you to wake up after ever dream without having to use it.

I found that I was having trouble getting back to sleep. So I set an alarm to wake me at 3:00 am. After a month of this I no longer use an alarm.

I have used dreams from the previous night if they were vivid, and I couldn't remember a dream that night.

The amount of concentration takes practice. It is possible to concentrate too hard and so you can't get back to sleep.

But you do need to review the dream a few times and imagine yourself recognizing it as a dream and becoming lucid.

I use an alarm clock to wake me up after about 3 hours of sleep. The other thing is to tell yourself over and over before going to sleep that you will wake up at the end of every dream. This worked wonders for me when I first started getting into LDs. Suddenly, from having absolutely no dream recall whatsoever all my life, I found myself remembering 3 or 4 dreams per night.
