funny you should be saying that, only a few days ago i had 2 nights of lucid dreams, one after the other, and both times i'd had highly coloured jelly beans before going to bed...i know its not the same, but maybe there is a link between food and LDs!

Yes, I need to try the raisin thing again. Perhaps chewy foods give you a higher chance of lucid dreaming, I am going to find something chewy and try it tonight, I'll post in the morning my results.
      this is definately a dream

Well, maybe only 'raisens' with an 'e' work.

      Awareness Raising Raisins...??

As stated, if you think it'll work, it'll work (or at least increase your likelihood that it will).

But then should we expect that the raisin eating population will have spontaneous lucid dreams?

Forgive me for thinking that it sounds a bit desperate. I do wish you luck though.

A point I will make about lucid dreaming, and attaining altered states in general. This has to become your life. Your need for it needs to feel as natural to you as breathing. When your mind spontaneously seeks these states, you're in.

Lucid dreaming is not just about having fun. There's much to learn in there, so don't go at it half hearted.

If you want to use raisins as an induction method, it's not a question of 'do they work?', it should be a statement of 'I'll make them work'. Incorporate them as part of a practice, and perform a reality check on them (e.g. test gravity by throwing them up and catching them).

      Good luck.
