      Entering into transition

Last night i attempted a WILD for the second time, i think i was begining to enter transition 'cos my body felt numb and i couldnt feel the mattress beneath my hands but my heart started beating really fast and i kinda lost concentration then i felt normal again but couldn't get to sleep...does anybody know what could of happened? was i entering transition?

      Hello vivid dreamer
Often when you are going through the transition from a wakeful state you consciously react to physical stimuli. When you started to realize your rapid heart beat, you may have unconsciously snapped yourself out of the zone, if you will.
But that is normal. And all of the experiences you were having certainly point to that transitional phase.
That is ,for the most part, the hardest part. Letting it flow.

Yeah I totally have the same problem, VD I think as ya try it more, you can ignore the physical changes, as Howetzer says, and begin to flow

yep, and i also find it easier to WILD before having any sleep at all, i have read that this is possible but have any of you ever done this?
by the way i have never actually succeeded with a WILD but i have attempted it twice, i find it hard after sleep because even after wakin myself up, i just end up asleep.

I think i've read about people WILDing in their daily naps regularly, but then again, it might not be a WILD

Hi sleeper boy. I just noticed you were new ! _--WELCOME!

Because WILD is "wake" initiated, it usually does take a more active participation from your waking state of mind. This is why naps or waking up for a period of time helps. These actions engage the consciousness and it becomes more readily available to connect to from a dream state.
