Dream about/False awakening during SP????

I think Im making a lot of progress with WILD, im getting to the point where the hynogogic flashes and streaks of colour are turning into 'movies' of realistic scenes and activities, I even had impromptu music last night ... but something strange and unexpected happened this morning. I was practising WILD but eventually gave up because of noise distractions from outside, and dropped off to sleep. However, things got a little weird while I was waking up. Suddenly I was on my bed, and couldnt move at all (experienced this many times in normal SP), but what I found strange is that I cant tell whether I was awake or asleep. I wasnt just having strong vibrations, it felt as if the whole house was shaking in an earthquake. Invisible hands kept trying to rip my clothes off. This seemed to last for longer than a minute and, a bit dazed, I started repeating various affirmations ('Clarity Now', even though it wasnt appropriate ) and willing myself to fade into an LD. At one point I opened my eyes and my bedroom looked just as it does in real life, but quickly closed them again fearing any potential unwanted visitors. Here is where it gets even stranger. With all my might, I managed to start moving again...but the shaking and pulling continued. I even managed to use my elbows to lever myself out of bed, and stumbled down the corridor in the middle of SP. Before I knew it I was in my bed again, stilling feeling a mild tingling sensation, and even the blankets were draped over my face the same way they had been when I supposedly opened my eyes before. I'd really like to know what this was. The SP and sensations felt so powerful and my surroundings were so real that I really doubt I was dreaming about them, but then again I know theres no way I could have had SP while wandering around the house, and I have been thinking about OBEs/LDs/SP non-stop for almost 3 days. Getting out of bed seemed very real also. Any ideas?

Wait, you mean you suddenly appeared back in bed after walking down the corridor? Somehow I think you might have been dreaming If you were on the brink of waking, that might explain the realism, and the sleep paralysis feelings coming through in the dream. Might be some kind of sleep-walking type thing, I spose, but I dont know anything about that :/

Dreams (both lucid and non-lucid) following SP can be so realistic that it does feel like reality. The trick is to RC so that you are sure you're dreaming, otherwise you can be easily fooled and think that what you are experiencing is real.

Any ideas? Sounds like a false awakening. Shows WHY you need to do reality checks - because dreams can seem completely real. You almost had a successful WILD, but you slightly lost critical thinking. Good sign of your progress.
