How I induced LD last night

Last night I was thinking of some things I could do to improve my RC-ing, and I already had made a little fluorescent pink post-it note that says "Are you dreaming?" to carry around, and I thought maybe I would stick these all around the house. I told my partner about this, so he would know what was going on with the little signs. He is not into LD, he calls it "Lurid Dreaming", he says I am bothering him and waking him up and since I use a voice recorder to remember my dreams he says it sounds like I am making Blair Witch Project in bed at night. Anyway, after I told him about the pink signs and he was mocking the whole thing, to tease him I was telling him all about RC's, and I went through breathing while holding your nose, looking at your hands and seeing six fingers, poking your finger through your other hand, flying, etc. I got my voice recorder and I said into it " Tonight you will realize you are dreaming" and other such things and I was playing it back at him. Then, we went to bed and early this AM I had an LD.

I have been doing MILD without a lot of succes, but I think the difference this time was doing it out loud. Even though I was doing it to tease him (and I thought it might actually work for him and then he would see that LD is cool) I was thinking at the same time this may work for me....and it did! (The dream was really not that great but it was LD) Hope this helps somebody.!
P.S. I really like my little voice recorder, much easier than writing at night.

LOL - sounds like something my husband would say

Well, congrats on the LD! That's great! The key to LDing is finding whatever technique works best for you, and it sounds like you have. This is a perfect example to show people that everyone is different so things work differently for everyone. Inducing LDs is more trial-and-error than anything, so I'm glad to hear you're tweaking your technique to make it work for you. Well done!

Haha, very funny Moonbeam, and congratulations on your LD! Maybe tonight, just for your non-believing partner's sake, you can repeat into your recorder, just loud enough so s/he can hear it, in your best creepy whispering Blair Witch voice, "I SEE DEAD PEOPLE!" Then they'll really think you're up to no good!

Thanks for bringing that to everyone's attention, Steph.

That voice recorder didn't last for long. Most of my dreams sounded like mumbling and heavy breathing.

For a while after that I recorded some messages on it like, "If you see people from work, and you're not at work--YOU'RE DREAMING!" and played them to myself at various times, like when I was driving. I'm not sure how well they worked.

Anytime. I might just find some embarrassing posts and bring them back to life for no reason.

      I see no new PMs.

I bet I can find a funny one from you though! *Goes and sifts through tons of PMs from the good ole adoption days*
