Thread: WILD Nightmares?

Explain it in more detail, was it scenes from previous nightmares or was it just random people or places from the dream appearing for a split second?

well, Guy said to try envisioning your palms so I was doing that when a couple of faces from this night mare I had about a month ago came up. just the faces. (they're really freaky, but I'm not going to go into detail in case there's someone like me who will get scared just by reading it ...I'm a wimp... I know) anyways, so I saw those faces and got freaked out and couldn't concentrate anymore.

I have had that happen before, most the time the faces are evil clowns, I hate evil clowns *shudders*

all clowns are evil.... clowns are just freaky... I hate clowns....

yes, im not the only one who hates the circus!

I don't like the circus.. but not because of the clowns

Well, in my only WILD to date I was afraid that my sick "dark side" will summon some baddies.
I mean it's so simple. A single thought - there will be a demon behind this door, and sure enough he will be there.
On the other side, I could change things that could turn scary into neutral objects. For example you can say - there is a pink bunny behind that door...

I wouldn't give up just because you had one bad experience. Your unconscious might betray you, but remember that you are in control, and that nothing can harm you. From what I have leaned about psychology, I am a phsych major, what scared you are not the characters, but what they represent. They are a disguised way to represent something that you have repressed because it is too shocking or painful for you to be aware of. The lucid dream world is your world. Remember that and try again. Don't let it get the best of you, and try to see what is beyond those character so you can face it....

yeah definitely keep trying. when I first started having regular lucid dreams I had a few scary ones. like when I saw my hands they were all freaky looking. Instead of 5 fingers, I had 3 or 4. But after I kept doing it everything was more clear and focused. I think it is just at the first part. Keep trying and you'll relax in the experiences.

I've tried again, and them bad images didn't come up, I think it was probably just like a fluke or something, popped into my head at the wrong time.

Ahh, i was meditating the other night...i saw a face, it was strange.

I kind of did, but hey! That is what I do, bear the truth....

Dont stop because of one 'scary' thing... Sometimes when I get hypnagogic imagery I sort of end up thinking "I dont wanna think about scary things" and ofcourse that summons the things I dont want to think about....
