Thread: Had it handed to me and I turned it down

There was a good side and a bad side to this story. On the good side, I remembered 5 dreams during the night, thats the most i've remembered yet.

On the bad side however, during one of these dreams, it cut to a limbo-like state where it felt like I was halfway through jumping. During this limbo, there was someone else there with me and they said "You're dreaming." This sank in and I thought to myself "Hey I am." But I kinda didn't do anything about it. After that, the mid-jumping feeling was replaced by a falling feeling and I sank back into a non limbo, non-lucid dream.

Dang.

That happened to me recently...I was sitting in an empty room with no doors with my friend in my dream, and suddenly I said in my dream "HEY! I'm dreaming! That means I can make a door!" But then I didn't go lucid. Really dissapointing. And it makes ya feel stupid too...

Aaaarrrrrggggg!!!!! That stinks!!!

DOH! It's cool man, we've all made these kind of mistakes.

aw, man, that is frustrating! That happened to me a couple months ago.
I was with my dad and uncles, riding in this old beatup truck. On the way to this rickety old wooden barn-like building, I looked out the window to my right and saw a strange symbol graffitied on a chipped brick wall. Somehow, that sparked my lucidity. In the old building, up on the second floor, it was sort of like a loft with staircases everywhere between floors. I lined everyone up to address them collectively and I said "I know this will sound strange, but this is all a dream!" Most of them walked away in disappointment for one reason or another, but my dad remained and I continued to try to explain/convince. Somewhere in there, one of my uncles came up one of the many staircases and smiled at me as I said hello. That smile was cunning though, and it forced me to ask "You know this is a dream..??" He held his smile and nodded as he passed by... but that's as far as I got. Events continued on autonomously for a good while, and the building changed to an industrial theme for a few moments.
So I didn't really have high lucidity...but my senses were pretty active. It was still a neat dream.

I know exactly how you feel. When I was trying to go lucid, I had literally 7+ dreams where I say to myself, 'Hey, I'm dreaming' But didn't do anything about it. Keep trying and you'll get it.
