Not sure if this is the right sectio but... what the hell, if it needs to, it'll get moved.

A technique I have used in the past to do a reality check is to call up my 'dream friend' in my mind.

I do this regularly during the day, whenever something slightly unbelieveable happens, and my freind is in my mind, but not in my sight, wheras in a dream, he will come directly to me in my vision.

I gained my dream friend during the most vivid LD I have ever had, when I was 8 (Still remember it clearly), I was lost in the woods, hot, dark, wet, and I was being chased by men, hunters... I knew I was dreaming after a few moments when I tried to look at my hands, which weren't there. I had paws. Aaaaaaanyway, the long and short of it is that I was a wolf, being chased by hunters, and then I realised there were other wolves around me... one in particular, a grey-silver wolf, seemed special. My dad had taught me to do this so I shouted out, "You are my friend!" And immediently the wolf turned and stopped, the hunters turned and ran, and then everything went blank until I woke.

And now, whenever I reality check, I call up the wolf in my mind, and he will help me and be in my vision, should it be a dream, and he will remain an image in my mind, should it be real.
