      Are these Hypnagogic imagery images?

Last night, I was lying in my bed listening to this meditating music for the first time. I was trying to imagine myself in the scene that the music sounded like.

Anyway, after about 3 minutes I saw something. Of course I had my eyes closed, but I saw dark blobs (not much different from black) going through the screen, and an occasional dark pink blob. I'm not sure if these blobs were actually coming from me, or if I was just imagining them. The lighter ones looked similar to what happens if you open your eyes, look into a light, and close your eyes.

Do that sound anything like Hypnagogic imagery or am I just wishing I had it and imagining it happening?

Also, I had trouble keeping my eyes closed. It's not like they were moving much, but I always have had trouble keeping my eyes closed for periods of over 2 minutes. How can I help keep them closed?

It sounds kinda what I got when I did my first WILD I saw these bolobs after 2 mins then after like 5 I saw more vivid colors mainly the colors purple and green. Im geussing 10 minutes in i started seeing faces and then parts of dreams.

If u said it took u 3 minutes to see those "blobs" then you should keep ur eyes closed for longer cause those where most probably the beginnings of the hypnagogic imagery.

try putting something over your eyes to help them stay closed. and also i find listening to music during a WILD distracting, i only listen to medetative music to get to sleep faster.

yea.. I aso dont think its to good an idea to do WILDS during exam week Ben.

O yea i found this awesome herb wich helps you sleep and fall asleep faster, i think it should help with WBTB as you would get more rest in a shorter period of time. I will try to bring you some to school, if you want ofcourse.
would an inverted WILD result in sleep walking? (your mind sleeps but your body doesnt)

What will the teacher say lol. She will think you'll get high.

And the only way I can get anywhere in that stage is with music. My mind needs to wander to fall asleep. Concentrating on anything, even the slightest bit, will prevent me from sleeping. The music seems to be the only way to concentrate while falling asleep for me.

I did it again last night. This time I managed to keep my eyes closed for 20 minutes. Nothing happened for five minutes, and then some blobs come. Another 5 minutes, a few more come. Probably about 2 minutes later, there is a purble blob a the bottom of my vision, sort of in the shape of fire, but of course rounded. It comes back about 3 times. Then nothing..... A few minutes later, so much light comes and goes, but only for about 3 seconds. Then it stops, and a while later it comes back! Then my eyes started hurting so I opened them.

      That's kinda how it went.

But last night I had a lucid dream. I happened to wake up at 6:30, and I had the most longest, vivid, lucid dream yet. I woke up at 7:30, so it must've been pretty good. I was only lucid for about 20 minutes of it (assuming the dream was an hour) but it was the last 20 minutes. That is good, because the 2 other lucid dreams I lost ludicity shortly after becoming lucid....

And now I'm plauged with a problem. All 3 times I've become lucid, out of the blue I just say: "I'm dreaming!" But then I just wander around aimlessly. What I wanted to do was attempt flying, but nope. In my dream all I knew was that I was dreaming, not what I was thinking about while awake. I just wandered around and saw some cool things for the remainder of the dream.

How can I get my mind more involved?
