Best Sleep Position for LD

i was just wondering what sleeping positions u guys use when u have LD's. and, maybe whats the best one for WILD, thats the methood im using right now

Mine seems to be on my back. Sometimes it's harder to fall asleep that way, but I think that helps because it keeps me from sleeping too deeply.

When i wake up after a LD, i always find myself laying on my back, i don't know if it's only a pure coincidence! For WiLD, the general rule is to be in a confortable position, and that pretty much depends on each person.

Ive never been able to fall asleep on my back. When i last tried WILD, i got to stage 3, and i was laying on my back, but it felt like i couldn't go any further.

I'm no expert in WILD, but from the articles i read, it usually adviced to actually sit in a confortable position (like 120 degrees) _/ . as far as DILD's, i have noticed no "best" position for myself...i have woken up in virtually every position possible after them. as far as WILD's, i rarely wake up fully, prepare myself, and attempt one...about 90% of them happen when i wake up from a dream and realize i am in bed...sometimes i open my eyes, and sometimes i don't....sleep paralysis comes on fairly quickly as i remain stationary, and soon after i "pop out". curiously, almost always this happens when i wake up on my stomach, usually with my arms folded across my chest, underneath my body. this is also the most comfortable position for me to fall asleep in. ---- i would guess that the optimal sleeping position varies based on the type of dream desired (DILD or WILD), as well as personal factors (height, weight, frame, blood circulation, physical fitness, etc)... the best advice would seem to pay attention to the various positions in which you fall asleep/wake up, and try to draw correlations between your dream life based on these observations... When i last tried WILD, i got to stage 3, and i was laying on my back, but it felt like i couldn't go any further.[/b] well, i'm not an expert on WILD (had roughly 40ish), but i do know one of the most important aspects for most people is simple comfort...after all, WILDing is nothing more than falling asleep physically, and staying aware mentally. try the most comfortable position, and try to maintain passive awareness...if you find you fall asleep without maintaining awareness, try altering your position slightly, so that you are slightly less comfortable, and thus less likely to drift off too soon (mentally, not physically), and miss your chance for lucidity. there seems to be no advantage in lying like a stone in an uncomfortable position which you find it difficult to fall asleep in...WILD does not require lying in bed for an hour or two....the easiest way is to find a position which helps you maintain a modicum of awareness, but allows your body to fall asleep fairly quickly. *shrugs* everyone is different though.. good luck, and blessed journeys...

All of my dreams have been DILDs, in which I don't think the position should matter. However, if I remember correctly, I woke up on my back from those.

only can sleep laying on my back but have noticed recently when i wake up from lucids i am curiously on my stomach

I woke up from both of my lucids on my back. Problem is if I go to sleep on my back, I often have a sore throat in the morining ' EDIT: you know I think I'm just sick

I usually LD when I'm lying on my stomach or curled up on my right side. I've LD-ed while sleeping on my back, too, but not very often. Switching to sleeping at the foot of the bed seems to help a lot too, especially if I've been going through a LD dry spell.

I've never had an LD, but I'm working on it. Last night I decided to sleep on my back and I guess it translated into my dreams because I had a dream I was laying in a coffin last night. Now the problem is to realize that I'm on my back in my dream and become lucid! AHH!
