      WILD Breathing

I can get to the point where everything is black and I hear hypnagogic sounds but whenever I get to this point my breathing feels off. It feels like I am not getting enough air. I think about it because I feel like I need the air but as soon as I try and breath normally I wake up. Any tips or suggestions?

I was diagnosed with asthma and lessoned the symptoms by the end of my 8th grade. Almost everynight I am conscious of my breathing because even if I have been breathing the way I am now, it seems unnatural but relaxing to breath as deep as I can today.

I know I can't get to sleep by just laying down, I usually start by breathing in a little deeper than usual. The added depth to the breath should be naturally relaxing to the point of inducing sleep/dream even if you are conscious of breathing.

This works for me, but somewhere between the hypnogagic imagery and the blackness before the dream, my body seems to naturally take control of the breathing and I try and stay away from internal dialogue and passively witness what is happening until the dream starts. This is how I induce a WILD.
