      mistake?

OK, i dont know if this was a dream, but it started when i was still awake (VERY TIRED) and i thought bout different stuff and then i thought about talking with my best friend (for some reason...) then i kinda saw how the picture of it became clearer and the words to, it started to feel real, so i thought "holy shit im gonna have a LD!" and i saw the picture fade away and i was back in my normal state... i was awake the whole time (i think). but could it been the beginning of a dream?

I've experienced jumping directly into picture. If it changes without your effort (especially numbers!), then you may be sure you are about 1 min away from entering LD...

If you are awake enough to think your going into a ld then you might have. If you where just thinking of random things though, then it might of just been a normal dream then when you thought about it you woke up.

I think I had that experience once or twice. But I don't think it was a dream. I later reconsidered and it seemed more like my imagination picturing something that was just more vivid than usual. Maybe it does have something to do with tireness.

I've noticed that if I try WILD and just lay there doing nothing, looking behind my eyelids and expecting something, NOTHING happens.
I feel some kind of unset of dream paralysis, but it takes so damn long...

Instead I tried just go along with my thoughts. Shape them in the beginning. Start them. Then let them fly by themselves and soon you (at least I do) will notice amazing things... Including lucid subdreams and daydreams...

Pictures change by themselves. Regardless of how absurd they are, dont intervene, soon they will make sense...

At least I feel my attention shift to images and I kinda "enter" them...

It's still pretty raw method, I dont know If I'm doing something wrong. Maybe something can be added, something removed...

I commonly have this experience when I'm tired, and relax to go asleep, but my thoughts just roam around and they start to take on the form of a dream (of course I don't realize this untill I pull out of it). My only difference is its only thoughts, I don't see images, but it still feels like a dream.

Maybe the fact that you got excited about possibly entering and LD that made you snap out...

It has happened to me many times now...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

I had this experience before. Usually my waking dreams or daydreams are not very vivid but this one was. I believe I would also have gone into dream state if I had just been left alone a little longer. I had the help of soothing music to form the images in my head. It was very fun. I have yet to recreate this but then again I have not tried to get so fully enveloped in a daydream. Just let it flow the next time... and let the dream state take you up up and away hehe!!!
