Perhaps a new way to induce lucidity?

      Hey everyone,

I just thought of this while looking at someone's topic. I think I may've found a new way to induce lucidity, though I'm not sure yet.

See, the day after I had my first LD, I was so eager to have a false awakening, that I looked for every little sign that I'm dreaming. I kept wondering to myself, "Am I dreaming?"

I also did do a lot of reality checks. (I don't usually do them)

That night when I went to bed, I thought I was dreaming about 3 or 4 times. I think it's because I had been thinking that I was dreaming so much. However I couldn't control it too much. I would either wake up, or forget that I was dreaing.

If people did this all day long, do you think that this increases their chances of having an LD? I think I'll try it again, if I can remember to think that I'm dreaming.

That would also be known as performing RCs (Reality Checks). Along with keeping a dream journal, it's a great aid for inducing lucid dreams.

Thinking about dreams anytime during the day helps because then dream stuff would maybe get into your dreams and trigger a reality check. At least smart people. I had plenty of dream related stuff in my dreams and did I do a reality check? No... So in other words yes what you said would help.

the bridge between the unconscious and the conscious can be permeated by intense subjectivity of either one.
