Lucid Dreaming no subject in my dreams

Somehow, while I think of lucid dreaming during the day almost every single minute, during my dreams it's absolutely no subject at all. How can I overcome this? Should I just do more reality checks, or is there something I should know?

I'm not much of an expert but i think Reality Checking will work well.

I've been RCing for a while now and I'm beginning to have LDs (but crap ones)

I've had loads of LDs before but only by chance.

I want to get a good technique so i can have them deliberately.

If you get into the habit of RCing you will start to do it in dreams.

This has probably not been helpful and if you don't get many more replies, go to the "help" forum.

      Hope this helps,

Actually, the Help forum is for non dream-related problems, such as personal or family issues. This is the correct forum for this type of question.

Sam, I don't think I understand your question. What do you mean when you say "during my dreams it's absolutely no subject at all" ?

Well, during my dreams, I never even think about dreaming, while during the day, I think about it constantly. I think this is because my dreams are always about special occasions, never normal days (like going to school or something). And during a special occasion, it's not such big a subject.

Okay, now that I understand perfectly!

I find that I am most likely to become lucid when having a dream where nothing special or unusual is happening. My personal opinion is that this is because my mind isn't busy dealing with monsters or flying pigs or whatever, and I have the chance to really think about what's going on, and that's when I pick up on subtle clues that I am not in the "real world".

The only suggestion I have off the top of my head is to constantly tell yourself when you are going to sleep "I will realize that I am dreaming", or "the next thing I experience will be a dream". Also, try the WBTB method, if you haven't already. It's much easier to become lucid when you've already had a few sleep cycles, get up for a bit and focus your mind on dreaming, then go back to bed.

familiarize yourself with your dreamsigns. That is the first step. It will give you an indicaiton over the subject of your dreams.

Then you will gradually incorporate the thought of lucid dreaming when this subject pops up.

Let me know if you have any quetsions.
