      booooring!!

      People say that you should repeat something like "im gonna have a lucid dream" until we fall asleep, but i can sometimes be awake for about 2 hours!! and i cant keep talking to myself all the time....it gets boring...

      ditto for me. Last night, i kept myself awake until 3:30 because my mind wouldn't go to sleep when i would repeat stuff to myself.

      Well glad to see you guys have determination.

      I'd suggest to rely more on reality checks if you have trouble with being too excited for MILD. I find it common for people that usually have problems falling asleep before finding about lds.

      In case you do, you don't have to say it out loud!

      Really? The repetitive nature doesn't get your bored and drift away? Maybe you should try a shorter phrase, or even one word, like "Dreaming, dreaming, dreaming"

      Try this condensed mantra...

      "Im aware... Im dreaming..."

      after a while the I's seperate and its as if the mind actually segments...

      Let the dreaming I relax and really let go, then come back to the aware I.

      You might vibrate one in the head and one in the stomach area...

      The dreaming I asserts itself, then the aware I, and because youre steadily going back and forth between the 2 when you start dropping into dream space you have a good chance of remembering your "aware" self...

      I was doing well with this one last night until I just fell asleep...

      Hey, I had the same problem, and still do when attempting to MILD or WILD.
      What I usually do is just relax and wait until I feel I'm falling asleep before begining the repeats.

      On my only WILD, I only got to 16 before I entered the dream.
      I've lain awake for hours going:

      // Begin WILD induction
      int x=0;
      for (x; x<0x7fffffff; x++)
      {
      printf("%d, I'm dreaming...n", x);
      if (alseep)
      break;
      } //
      you must be the change you wish to see in the world...
