Is it possible to go straight to rem whle attmpting wild? or after?

My experiences with both failed and successful wilds usually consist of HI first, then very mild SP until I follow the visualizations into a dream. I'm not even sure if this is technically VILD or WILD. The other day I made an attempt in the afternon. I finally had to give up after my LOUD and INCONSIDERATE bf kept startling me. I got up and went about my day w/out giving it any more thought. When I went to bed that night I remember thinking I was too tired to attempt again. just a few minutes after I shut my eyes I got some of the most intense visualizations I have ever had. They were not the usual lights and colors swirling, but more like a video game with characters moving in and out of view. It was like everthing was advancing constanly to the right (kinda like the old school mario games) I even flet my eyes moving rapidly. I wasn't conciously doing it it just happened. I don't know if i just felt this as an expectation for wondering why I was having such clear visions or if it was really rapid eye movement.

I have WILD directly into REM on many Lucids. It's usually how it goes with me so I believe it does happen like that. I dont go through the SP and all that I'm directly placed in the dream and I am Lucid. I understand about seeing very visual and clear HI's I do that as well but I'm not quite asleep. It's happened like that the last couple of nights, the HI's have been so clear and visually stunning but I wasnt asleep yet.

yea, that's what startled me was how vivid it was so early on, ususally i stay with it for a while, keep with the breathing and realxation while the clarity slowly builds. this was different, it was like instaltly vivid and I was no where near asleep. That and I don't usually feel my eyes racing like that.
