So this night, i tried to wild for the first time. And i got to the transition Phase, but that's where it all got messed up.

It was like this.. I was lying in my bed for över an hour, trying to relax visualize a dream, watching lightpatterns and was just waiting for the Transitionphase. All of a sudden i feel how my body goes numb, i start to vibrate, and all this ofcourse shocks me, cuz it came so fast.. And it felt like i was falling in a increadible speed downwards..

Well, since i've read a bit about this, I remember that I'ts nothing to be scared about. Everything that's happening to me is perfectly normal. BUT.. It's one thing that i'm not sure how to handle.
When in Transition Phase, my heart starts pounding like x10 speed. This is not of excitement, cuz i found myself pretty calm durting the process, trying to count 1..I'm Dreaming, 2.. I'm Dreaming etc..
And not only the heartrate goes up, but.. I'm having trouble breathing, i was breathing through my nose, but after some time in Transition, I gotta open my mouth slightly to gain extra air.

When i did this.. my transition Phase faded away and all i felt was numbness in my body, ( I get numb in certain parts of my body before I enter Transition )
So i tried to prepare mentally for another try. I lie in my bed trying to do the same thing as before.. but nothing happens so i decided to forfeit this time. Trying again tonight tho. But i need some help about this Breathing thingy. I kinda got worried since i didn't get enough air, felt like i was gonna choke if i didn't do anything about it.

Please, anyone help me with this. Thanks

I think something that you should keep in mind is, not everyone is the same, and dreaming techniques don't work the same for everyone. You may have to tweak the technique to fit your specific needs. Also, what works for some people may not work for you. If you don't get results after a period of time, you may need to switch techniques. WILD is one of the hardest techniques, in my opinion, so, it may not be the fastest way to get the effects you are looking for.

I think in your case, you are having relaxation issues. Perhaps you should do some meditation before bed, or take a short walk. Make sure that you are tired when you lay down to try the technique. Also, make sure that you are not over stressed or worried.

I hope this helps, and I hope that you gain more success!

But, the way i see it. My problem this time was.. first off was that i couldn't breathe properly, my heartrate rose like x10, and i couldn't catch up with the amount of oxygen i needed, felt like i had been running and had to rest , catch up my breathe.. And also, i experienced REM during this period, wich made me having a hard time to close my eyes, and I do not have a blindfold.. so this makes this tricky.

About the technique. I think what i did works well for me, i mean i reached to transition stage, but clearly my transition is maybe not like others. don't know what caused my breathing but.. Hmm, maybe I'll take a bath before bed to get relaxed and tired. Usually works for me to fall asleep.

Well thanks for the reply, I might try the walk thing or something.

I had actually the same problem last night and the night before. As forum people say; it's about practising. As we make more tries and gain more experience then rate to get success will be higher.
I used to dream of the blue in your eyes, now my dreams are color blind.

i had the same exact breathing problem just last night, it felt like i wasn't getting enough air at all so i had to take control over my own breathing, and i guess it stopped me as well, because i had to start self-breathing after i got into SP, but before i got shaking. is shaking dependent on the person or does it happen to everyone WILDing. and whats an easier way to LD? there are so many ways, whats everyone's personal favorite?
as i was falling asleep last night, i said to myself, i will remember my dream, i will know i'm lucid, i will know i'm lucid, i will know i'm lucid. then i saw dinosaurs running at me and i said, "Holy Crap! i wish i was dreaming!"

The heart rate rising is a hallucination. Feeling the blood flow through your veins is also questionable... Dont pay attention to these things.

Breathing is a tough one tho. Do you try to breathe consciously? Cause this is my problem - I try to take control of my breath and snap out of the transition phase.

I dont know how to quickly let go of my breathing and let my body do it for me. So this ruined half of my WILDs.
