So after about 8 months I think I finally found my lucidty niche. WBTB. I'd tried it before but it just started happening by itself (i'm sure it had to do with my constant daily RC's) but I'd wake up in the middle of the night, go to the bathroom, come back and go to sleep. Last night I got up and did a couple RC's while in the bathroom and when I came back I said "I will recognize the dream state" and things like "when I am lucid I will fly" and low and behold I had one of the most lucid dreams I've ever had and I was lucid from the beginning of the dream.
Has the WBTB technique worked well for you guys? and if so, what sort of things do you do in your short (or long) period of time you spend awake before heading back to bed?
I'm excited to get on track with lucid dreaming.. I hope it keeps working for me!

p.s. the bathroom is a great place to do RC's because you can look in the mirror, read text, flip the light switch, and do whatever it is you feel to test your state.

Yeah WBTB is the thing that works best for me so far. I discovered it when I was trying to WBTB WILD... yeah well WILD failed but I had lucid dreams anyway. What do I do when I wake up for WBTB? Well for the first 30 seconds I am like "Yeah... screw this I am tired as heck..." but then determination sets in. I go to the bathroom and then to the kitchen to find a snack. Then I lay in my bed passively eating said snack and daydreaming. I try to shoot for 30 minutes awake but mostly its 15-25 that I make it. I always do some reality checks and try to visualize what I wanna do when I get lucid (This important for me... as my first couple lucids I was unsure what to do... even though I had a plan without reaffirming it to myself right before hand it tends to get lost). Interestingly enough, once I start going back to bed after say 20 minutes, it usually takes me an additional 30 to get to sleep.
